Well my client is experiencing problems that the screen turns black when she's playing FB games, with only option to get back is ctrl+alt+del..
Odd thing is that it only happens in chrome (at least, so far as i tested).
I have re-installed the OS, updated drivers, bios etc etc, but the problem keep coming back..

Using another browser is NOT an option, it should work just fine on chrome.

She has an i5-3570k at stock, win7 64bit, using the iGPU on the CPU.

Anyone got any idea what this might be and how i can solve it?

Does she play Flash games on Chrome? Chrome comes with it's own flash plugin. Try a different browser just to be sure, that it isn't a software/driver problem. (Other option f.e. Opera Next which is also using Webkit/Blink but I think it does not come with it's own flash plugin and uses the system flash)

If it's not flash games, might it be, that there are problems with hardware acceleration? The screen shouldn't go black anyway.

You can disable chrome's inbuilt flash player and use the real one.

Personally I think you should just block facebook in her hosts file

With all you guys banging on chrome it's making me wonder if it's screwing with me too. My video card overclock is great during games but browsing chrome sometimes crashes the drivers.

Yeah tried it with other browsers (as i said in OP ducky Razz), they do not produce this error..
It only happens with FB games when she is fullscreen tho..

Thanks, imma try that.

Shame there is no stress test with flash, otherwise i could had detect the problem if it's indeed flash or something in chrome borking things up

Well i done that now, but there is no way for me to test it other then running a YT vid for over an hour or so.. (i'm not gonna access her FB and play games to test out)..

Odd thing tho was that the flash player in chrome was a newer version..

But what if this doesn't work, what COULD be the issue? The iGPU or..? (Maybe because both Chrome and Flash use HW acc?)
Because those drivers are up-to-date and did change over the past few months.
So what would be my safe bet? Because i think RMA'ing the CPU is pointless as they are not going to encounter the same problem..

If the problem only happens when playing fb games in chrome, there really isn't a problem. Just use a firefox for facebook then, and use chrome for everything else. You can even have a firefox tab in chrome.
