Is this solid color, or does it have different levels of blue on it. Or does every screen what i have seen have clouding which makes the blue look like different (lighter towards the bottom). Fuck hard to explain Laughing. Looks bad imo Sad

It's a gradient only at the top portion, then it's solid from some point until the bottom.

Ok, i can spot every damn shade of blue with my spyder calibrated Dell IPS. This shitty TN panel in work makes it look like solid color Laughing

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Took me like 1 hour to forget the smoothness when i swapped my 120hz TN panel to IPS Laughing. Im too picky about what i see, but i really prefer better colours + resolution over shitty TN panel even tho its noticiable smoother (in 1999 games which runs 120 fps constantly Laughing). In NFOhump case, i dont like how the blue shades are in this site with IPS screen, gonna try out swap it with CSS extension (first time ever website has bothered me how the colours look Very Happy).

Yes, but are you sure it's the intended gradient, and not the gradient from your eye shifting 1° up and and down? Troll Face

I played around with color settings on this HP TN (put SRGB preset)... Now i can see the gradient aswell, good god how shitty these are "out of the box". TN can have somewhat nice colors if you calibrate it with spyder or something, which costs more than the screen Laughing. I was surprised tho how much difference calibration made still on my U2711, even tho it was calibrated by Dell (used Spyder 4 elite)..

Haha, no, it's definitely a smooth gradient from dark to light blue. It's quite pretty though I'm also not averse to the fact that what I see may not be what Rinze/mrt intended. I only have a crappy camphone camera, so that wouldn't be a good indicator of how the site is supposed to look. Do you have a cam handy, Leo? Mind snapping me a shot?

So you want photo taken from a IPS screen, the camera alters colors already, then you are gonna watch it on a TN screen? Laughing. We need to go deeper Very Happy

Anyway, usually the designer is just picking colors what looks good to hes own eyes / or looks good on hes screen. This is where you are gonna see big difference TN vs IPS. Its like some photographer would edit hes pictures on cheap TN, then watch those with IPS and they look like shit Laughing.

It was a homage to people that say "I have a broken screen, here is how it looks" and post a print screen. Laughing Laughing Laughing

Yeah that's the best part. Design your work to look great at a monitor that displays proper colors uniformly, and the whole world will use TN garbage to look at it smoothly at 120hz, but since they don't give a shit about colors anyway, it doesn't matter Laughing
