Actually, some bars don't allow this.

Edit: And I think its mostly Båstad/Stockholm they do this..

And believe me, a bottle of champagne is WAY more expensive in Sweden than Israel. Norway and Sweden got insanely high alcohol taxes :/

BTW Leo, only Norway and Denmark got "Ø" the right Swedish term would be "dörp" Whirling cane

That's the young rich brats that just found a new way to show how rich and successful they were. Pay for a bottle or two of expensive champagne and let the bartender pour it out in the sink with the brats friends looking.

Some more interesting facts. Swedish language sprung out from what was eastern norse while norwegian sprung out of western norse. I don't remember when old norse split, it was more than a thousand or two years ago. Yet, the closeness to the continent and Norway/Sweden being neighbours on the same peninsula have made our modern language very similar with the difference that Sweden have a lot more words (a lot of loan words from other germanic languages, french, english but also a lot of swedish unique words) while Norway have a smaller native vocabulary they use a lot of english loan words to fill up.

Thats pretty interesting.

Norway get new words every year, they are often just english expressions we write like we would say it tho. But you are totally right, we have lots of loaned english words.

But, iv not really noticed it earlier, but there are actually some words that are the same in Sweden and Denmark, but not Norway (S/DK: Biograf, N: Kino). And "Cancer" is pretty much the same in Sweden, while we say "kreft" so we have made some of our own words! ...unless its just from german like most of Norwegian Sad

I've met swedes who seem to belive that if you call it Cancer its more bad than calling it something else. So instead they just call it the Swedish word for the starsign cancer - kräftan..so kind of like your kreft Smile
Dunno why they seem to belive that it makes everything better
