It's about goddamn time. I hope T2 can recover from the absence of the toolset for so long.
To their credit, they've spent a lot of time making T2 more intuitive to mod, writing up documentation and streamlining the editor. Hopefully their efforts aren't in vain and we see a whole lot of activity in the next few months!

Gonna make me a new class or two to start with I think. I tried without the toolset but there was stupid amount of fucking around to implement basic stuff, I decided against wasting any further lifespan without the editor.

Good news, alas I think its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to late.

People who where interested, have played it, some played it to death. The buzz has moved on, other action rpg have come out, etc.

I just don't understand what the fuck they where thinking.

Indeed. They promised there would be an editor for mods from virtually at the start, so I expected it to appear maybe 1 or 2 months after release. I've completely lost interest in the game now.

Well after giving the editor some time, haven't notice too much difference from the first one. They did make starting and finishing up a lot simpler, but I do feel the system itself is quite inefficient in its design. IE. You'll have to make each level for each skill 15times, then you need to manually change the layouts, affix. Then you need to do the same for each affix, layouts. After all that and you get 1 skill done. Each class has 30, I don't know how the devs do it Confused

The patch system basically adds the downloaded files to the existing (zip?) archives whereas these provide the entire archive, thus the larger size. Smile

No TL3 because Devs are burnt out by it and D3 is killing the scene with the updates and playability

Frankly, I thought the mods for TL2 were quite good and fun at that..

Meh, I personally found TL2 to be a better game overall than D3 anyhow. Still, I can understand the burnout, and hey... the two main guys behind TL/Diablo have left to form Double Damage anyhow Wink Rebel Galaxy is going to dominate.

I played 45 minutes of Diablo 3 and hundreds of hours TL2. Diablo 3 was a huge disappointment, with terrible performance, ugly style, bad network, bland gameplay and stupid loot.

Supposedly the Reaper of Souls update fixed a lot of the issues people where having with the gameplay.
