I think so could play this for almost an hour bevore i was getting sick of it and uninstalled it, couldnt do that with Racoon City, atleast with QTEs turned off its bearable but there are way better 3rd Person shooters out there so i dont know why anyone would want to play this, its as far from a proper Resident Evil as it gets.

Game is very heavy on quick time events this is most annoying. Story quality is retarded. Game play is slightly worst then RE5. FOW is bad and while aiming FOW is getting much worst. Controls on mouse and keyboard are bad too.

you can turn off QTE, and you can adjust FOV as well.

In terms of turning of QTE game still require a lot of button mashing... lower bridge, open doors...

If you mean the checkpoint (little pin needle icon or what they are called.) those are just the level resume points, you need to go until you see a typewriter icon saying "saving game" or some such.
Prologue has to be beaten in one go, finally got it yesterday without the game crashing at the last sequence though the campaigns themselves are near unplayable for now.
(It's a pretty odd decision to force the player to play through the little prologue sequence before getting access to the actual main menu.) |

Just played the prologue and the game's graphics are really poor.
It's just a console port but the problem is the game was looking bad on consoles as well, as I've pointed out months ago: http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1999107#1999107
RE5 looks better. Maybe it's less advanced/complex, but it's far more pleasing to the eyes..
Only in cutscene mode does RE6 looked somewhat decent.
The prologue had no real gameplay and as a tutorial it was pretty bad. I didn't understand how herb mixing works and I'm confused about how exactly does the game control as well.
Unless things improve in the "main" chapters.. then this will be my #2 worst game of the year, beating Tomb Raider! (#1 is A:CM of course) This year keeps on giving quality

It works pretty well here, runs at it's near 120 frames per second max and aside from whatever driver bugs I keep encountering there's not been too many issues since I passed the prologue chapter, wonder why that was so problematic.
(Every now and then Err08 Out of Video Memory appears but running in windowed mode has minimized that to almost nothing.) and there are a few glitches that are being discussed on the Steam forums, such as always dying after a certain cinematic in Leon's fifth chapter or crashing at a certain spot in either the prologue or during one of Chris chapters.

Performance is excellent. Chris' first chapter (mostly) runs at 120fps for me. But it's just a corridor shooter, so far.

I was too curious and decided to play through the first chapter of each campaign. As an old time RE fan who considers RE5 a complete disaster and thinks that RE4 (although definitely good) went a bit too far with the action, you can only imagine the disgust on my face as soon as I played this..thing. Capcom said that there are still some horror elements left in the franchise? well they were damn right, the game is one of the most horrifying gaming experiences that I've ever had.
Leon's campaign, the one that is supposed to be survival horror ( ) is pretty much based on a one-way-to-the-door kind of gameplay, where you just have to watch the cinematic, hit some QTE buttons, shoot a couple of zombies out and go ahead until the next scripted event. No exploration, almost no tension, nothing. 
But Chris' campaign is the one that impressed me the most. It starts with the 'merican bros rejoining their old captain, cheesy dialogues occur and there you are, on a baycopter. Disembark, *BOOM*, explosions, fuck yeah atmosphere, "we've gotta take 'em down!", zombies with guns, uber-linear gameplay which is a mix between The Club and Gears...fun fun fun.  
Jake's one is somewhere in the middle, more cinematic galore with no purpose whatsoever, this time with ninja moves, and more choppers, more Bay etc.
Was too disgusted to try Ada's. One of the worst games that I've ever played  , almost insulting. 3/10

Yeah, at least the sales weren't that good and even some journos bashed it, which is somewhat relieving. Though I don't think that we'll ever see the "classic" RE again, maybe something close to RE4 (which would still be good considering the sequels). Oh well. |

I don't understand.. where are the healing items? I'm playing Chris' campaign for like half an hour now and I have nothing to heal myself? WTF? I mean I have a single herb and the only option is to store it in the case?
