It's like the pope election. Everyone hopes for a progressive leader with fresh new ideas, but instead we get the same old thing in a new package. Very Happy

Hope they finally get someone who will try to win favors with the players instead of alienating them with lies and obvious milking attempts. But I won't hold my breath.

I believe Frank Gibeau as a CEO could be even worse. Isn't he the guy responsible mostly for deterioration in games' quality while being the evil mastermind behind the "trying to appeal to a broader audience" plan?

I actually think it can get worse.
Always thought this was the guy behind their 2008 push with Dead Space and Mirror's Edge.

I might be completely wrong on that last part but I can see easily seeing it get worse.

Now can we get rid of Frank and Peter, too?! I know that we can't get rid of Larry (he's the biggest individual shareholder at EA with 1.2% shares and the oldest corporate man there). Sadly....

That's what the germans said. And then came Hitler.
What does history teach us with that? There's always a bigger asshole around.

Yeah there's indeed a great similarity between the church and multinational gaming corporations; they're both greedy, pathological liars and dispensers of false hopes. Laughing

Yeah, well, that's not that special, the same can be done with Steam. In fact, nearly all xxx:// things are vurnerable to it when they support parameters.

Bobby Kotic for EA CEO!

We need a merger between Acti/Blizzard and EA. Culminating with the buying of Ubi and Take Two. That way all the AAA market will belong to them Very Happy

EA will still be EA. Bet we won't see a game change anytime. Unless there's a new development in monetizing by harassing their customers even more. Laughing

BREAKING: EA announced that EA Games will be renamed EA Entertainment in a move that splits it and EA Sports into two separate organizations encompassing many of EA's major studios.

EA Sports will continue to look after the F1 series, which just releases, as well as PGA Tour and the newly-acquired Super Mega Baseball. This is on top of traditional blockbusters including Madden, the newly-renamed EA Sports FC, NHL, and the upcoming College Football reboot.

EA Entertainment, meanwhile, will encompass Respawn, DICE, Ripple Effect, Ridgeline Games (Battlefield), Full Circle (Skate), Motive Studio (Iron Man), EA's Seattle studio, BioWare, and the EA Originals label. EA also includes numerous mobile games, including Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and the recently-released Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth.
