A friend of mine moved away and she's really bored when she gets back home from work, because she doesn't know anyone there and she only has her laptop, tv and her ps3.
I don't think that her laptop is really powerful (I think it's not too old, maybe 1 1/2 years old, some sony vaio I think). Can you guys or your girlfriend recommend some pc games that girls might like?

Pumpy's wife seemed to enjoy Torchlight 2 a lot 
You need to find out what kind of games she likes most though. aRPG like the above, platform, puzzle..tons of small games that'll run fine on a laptop

My fiancee really enjoys the old Tomb Raider games, and 99% of adventure games. Still Life is fantastic, lots of great puzzles and an engaging story.

Torchlight 2 is also really great! A friends GF played some WoW... and your GF might even enjoy some minecraft
@Werelds: My wife also likes BF3, CSS, DayZ, Dead Space and so on, it's just that she has gaming sickness in 1st and 3rd person games  Strangely she could play Gran Turismo on the PS2 but not Project Cars on the PC. I guess mainly because my TV is too big and she sits directly infront of it, which makes the gaming sickness even worse
Some girls are just too girly :/

Excluding LuftBrada's post (which was most likely not in a serious manner), Kurosaki said his friend enjoyed and preferred puzzle games, thus puzzle and quest adventures were offered.

I've given up my hope..when I mention PC Gaming to the girls that I know or I've known here, the 99% of them answer: wait, something like Farmville, Bejeweled Blitz or Scramble?
Adventure games imo are the most suitable for girls who are new to the gaming world, since they don't require good reflexes/skills, then you can switch to platforming, puzzle and hack 'n slash games...and finally the mighty RPGs! |

My girlfriend loves the new Tomb Raider. She likes action games in general, but being able to play as a chick in a game that isn't some worthless bitch is what she loves about it.

Some of those BigFish adventure games are good if you are bored. Find little objects and use them. Lots of cracked ones out there. Walkthroughs if you get stuck. Point and click.
