The third part is definitely the weakest one. First the aiming was horrible and second, the story was weak. It looks like they have rushed with this part a little bit.
The airplane part was great. Maybe a "little" to much, but hey it's Uncharted, a game were an Indiana Jones with AK47 kills 700 guys per game.
Part two is the best one, imo.

part 3 was rushed no doubt about it. i think sony pushed ND to rush for xmas release or some such. also much of development was outsourced because ND was also working on TLOU at that time.

I still prefer part 3 over part 1 (recently finished playing part 1 and nowadays the gameplay is far better in UC3.... Aiming included).

design wise and graphic wise it is , but in story presentation and overall story line part 1 was better , part 3 has this been there done that , if you see the story ark they ape the story key moments from part 1 [seeking a treasure that is a biological weapon] |

And what I don't like is that all three games are the same. You chase a secret, follow the clues and the bad guys follow you. All the same in all three parts, hmm not sure about the firts part. I can not remember anymore.

I think the story in all 3 Uncharted is silly to be honest. Scarfacew3 said it all already, it's always the same.
That's also why I prefered Tomb Raider rather than Uncharted, the story was less silly, and more serious.
Funny thing is that the thing that saved The Last of Us for me was actually... the story, which was a lot more interesting than Uncharted.
Problem is with Uncharted, they tried it to be just an Indiana Jones parody, they prolly didn't care much about its story and didnt take the games seriously... I played all 3 games for the gameplay/graphics/"explosions  ", rather than the story itself which is predictable, and cliché.
EDIT : @deelix : nope you still made a mistake, I recently finished both Uncharted 1 & 2 that I never had the chance to finish, and they are still really good, even after playing a game like The Last of Us or Tomb Raider or even Uncharted 3 !
I suggest you get them.
Specially Uncharted 2 feels less dated than Uncharted 3 because of the similar gameplay and graphics (it wasn't that much improved if at all in UC3 after all...)

part one was about : you where seeking your Great great great ancestor treasure only to find his journal , that gives you the map to El Dorado but there you find a german sub and some Neo-nazis , then you travel to that Secret nazi base that you found a map ...great another fucking map  .... in that sub , but then you realise this secret Island Base is also your Great great great ancestor Pirate city and inside that city is a Underground Nazi base that made experiments with Ubersoldaten aka Supersoldiers that used the EL DORADO golden stature that was a Alien Coffin with a zombie making virus ... oh yeah dont forget you where cased first by Pirates that wanted the map to El Dorado , then by Nazis that wanted the Secret location of that Nazi Base , then by Terrorist that wanted that Golden Stature as bio weapon |

Hmm, might get the 2nd game then... iv seen it for 99 NOK, but the price went up. Besides ill also have to buy the last of us at one point. Atm my ps3 is full of dust :/

why not just pirate it since you said yourself you don't even use your PS3, why are you so affraid to be banned ?

To me 2 was the best, amazing game, 3 was also amazing almost as good as 2, 1 was good but not as 2 and 3. And i didn't had any problems with aiming on 3, and i played without updates.

Trust me play them instead of some poor game been on UC2 since yesterday can't put down controller it even makes me happy since I can expect something amazing in The Order and UC4

so i finally beat Michael Bay's uncharted 3.
It's the set pieces that make the game. that plane segment. so nice.
well that's about it. that was the only segment that made me go ooooo.
uncharted 2 had the building collapse. lol.
everything else is just awful. the character writing. the intentions. the bits and pieces in between. the pseudo stealth missions. the enemy ai. the controls. sully just standing there not getting shot at all. it's a platforming action game and the platforming aspect is just horrendous.
i got used to the shitty controls in unchracted 2 pretty quickly. but that could be that i beat the game over a weekend. this one took me about 8 months. lol. played the last 12/15 or so chapters in the past 3 days.
the desert sequence... just hold the stick for 10 minutes.
the hallucinations... lol... in a fictional world with immortal men, fountains of life, bunch of other fantastical things they do the most realistic hallucination... for fucks sake the whole platforming sequence during the sinkhole was more imaginative than shaking a screen... lol. so cheap.
next one is gonna be last of us. i hope they improved on the controls and the ai and the whole gameplay aspect. rather than giving me a full on cinematic experience with shit controls.

are the cinematic experiences worth it then?
I struggled so much with uc3. poor controls . but uc3 was getting some good scores when it came out. peepls were praising the game hardcore. I hope tlou at least has decent controls and the michael bay moments make the game worth struggling with all the bs

tlou has the best writing of the whole gen, which doesnt mean alot, but it really is a well written game.
