Tbh I don't agree that it was worse than 4.0. I thought it was entertaining (but not as good as the 1st one ofc!)

In a mindless action flick like that one if you want to be entertained you don't have focus on these aspects, just grab the popcorns and admire the pew pew with John McClane's one-liners. 
But I agree, maybe they went too far with that  (I still liked the movie heh) |

This is not trying to be serious. Just perfectly cheesy as the previous ones. I find it a lot better than 4th one.
