Second game. That one was fucking brilliant. I want some more diversity in 3. JC2 became quite boring quite quickly, even though they improved it a lot from the first game.

i think the main problem with JC games is that the map is too huge (quantity over quality sadly). maybe for next game they should focus on a smaller map but more detailed one with more variety.
another problem is that in JC2 they made flying extremely over the top with endless parachute, all ground vehicles lost meaning.
they need to find balance between land vehicles and flying, so all of them is fun and don't feel left out. maybe limit flying and make it more rare occurrence, so that when you get to fly you feel rewarded.

Yeah, they seem to go the quantity over quality way, just like Bethesda, only they at least make the core of the game top notch.

Yeah, this is pretty much how I feel. I recently just re-installed it to mess around on the island, since nothing is out at the moment.

I liked JC2 a lot, much more than I thought, but its weakest aspects (for me) were the story and characters, both rather uninteresting. If they manage to fix these aspects and add more variety in missions the game will be spectacular.

Alright, another Just Cause would be brilliant! What we need is some more varied crazy locations this time around (and better controls wouldnt hurt).

What I never understood was how did the protagonist turn into such an ugly duckling from the jump to JC2 Instead of being older he feels like an entirely different person.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Quote: | Sundberg also mentions two unannounced projects presently in development at Avalanche. One of which is Avalanche's "first license game" (probably the much-rumored Mad Max title) for an apparently to be determined publisher "based on a well-known movie license," slated for an April 2014 release on "current and next-generation console platforms and PC." However, it is worth noting that Sundberg recently suggested in a tweet that Avalanche was moving exclusively to next-generation development as of late November, which could indicate that current-gen SKUs for Mad Max have been dropped.
The final game that Sundberg lists on his profile is a "Sandbox Action Game" for Square Enix, and those words link to the official website for the Just Cause games. Sundberg says the next Just Cause "is being developed at Avalanche Studios New York studio and is scheduled for completion in June 2015 for next generation console platforms."
Presumably that would mean Avalanche New York's marquee title, codenamed Project Mamba, is a new Just Cause. This would have some interesting implications, as Mamba seemingly integrates "asynchronous multiplayer technologies" and mobile apps—two things that would be a departure for the chaotic sandbox franchise. It's unknown if the "2015" is a typo meant to say "2014" (Mamba's previously stated target date), but the most recent news item on Avalanche's site about the NYC studio makes no mention of a possible release date for the title.
Avalanche is also said to be working a third game based on an unknown comic book franchise. |

will see... |
Avalanche have never "betrayed" us so far, so I'm pretty confident that we'll have it on too. They're probably planning a simultaneous release, so yeah, the wait will be long..

I don't recall Avalanche ever having an exclusive AAA title for a specific platform. Plus, this is almost 100% JC3 and the JC series has always seen the light of day on the PC.

It was probably taken off-monitor during a fast-paced motion action sequence, thus the blurry image.

I'm leaning towards Mad Max. The Desert setting and the character's outfit, leather jacket with one sleeve rolled up with fingerless gloves is a strong hint, IMO.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

No arm-mounted grappling hook like in JC2, I'm guessing it's from their Max Max game. Although the guy in the screen doesn't really look like Max (neither Mel Gibson nor the new Tom Hardy version): http://i.imgur.com/T8TXjKC.jpg
