I've played a bit on Fisk's server (which is normal enough), but the new retarded zombies were pissing me off. If it's daytime it's impossible to do anything but just running around with a whole horde after you until you find a hatchet. You can't even bloody sneak past them by slowly crawling, they'll still hear you somehow.

It's not the super hearing that's a problem, it's their numbers.

The last time I played with Boner it took me 2 full clips from an AK to kill the conga line of zombies that were following me. Admittedly, one of them might have been Boner, but the rest were simply too numerous.

It's the 1.7.5.1 zombies, and yeah you CAN sneak and crawl around them (crouch and WALK (don't run), they won't hear you unless you're within 1m of them, they will see you if you're within 180deg. of their face, so you need to time it.

Grab basic gear from cherno electro (to survive) and then head to the nearest military spot and get yourself any silenced weapon OR silenced ammo (players will hear the bang, zombies won't), and kill them with headshots.

I've been 50-70m away from them, behind bushes, in prone and still got spotted somehow. They are ridiculously alert now.

Another problem is grabbing gear from Elektro or Cherno, you clearly haven't played with me enough Very Happy
I never spawn anywhere else than what used to be called "Wilderness", which is now "fixed" to say Kamenka. That's grid 01/13 on the DayZDB map. I literally, extremely rarely spawn anywhere else, so to get to Cherno from there takes an hour past zombie infested areas and the last 3 deaths on your server I haven't found a single hatchet anywhere all the way up to Zelenogork or east to Balota Razz

Anyone fancy starting to group up and play on the public hive servers?? I've been playing pretty much whenever have spare time the last week or so and am having a blast but want to hook up with the humpers to get some decent action /bandit hunting going.

Running around alone on the busy 50 player servers gets kinda scary Very Happy

I'd play on fisks server but I prefer playing where other people are (thats the risk of the game right?)

If anybody fancies hooking up and getting some play sessions going lemme know..

Highly unlikely since the game relies on player interaction to actually make it exciting. Although future mod support might create single player content as it was with the SP mod for the mod (insert Xzibit meme here).

SOS on fisks server and need rescuing at the south or seraja army base Namalsk, in the barracks with broken legs and bleeding out, in need of bandages a blood transfusion, morphine and food, Again SOS!! I havent logged in since a couple of months so my charater may still be alive! anybody up for the rescue mission?

Just noticed the new update, it sounds..pretty good, especially this:

Ive found it annoying, so far it makes it hard to pick a spot and setup camp there waiting for people or bandits.... the zombies wander over from towns after 10 minutes or so and start breaking balls Very Happy
