So explain then why SLI does work and the dev refuses to change something in the code to get Crossfire to work?
What other possible reason would a dev have to make customers so pissed to actually say out loud that they refuse to do anything for AMD users? |
I read some posts today somewhere with tweaks and using nsmidia panel stuff and 000000x5 blah blah numbers to get xfire working. |

Umm, no. It doesn't. My 560Ti runs in some areas at 30FPS at max settings. Even GW2 has a bettter... erm, scratch that, actually... a SMOOTHER performance than Tera. i5 Sandy helps alot, but aparently not enough.
Tested a bit how game runs and feels now (played in beta). Combat makes a difference from other similar MMOs, but I don't know how sustainable this is. In terms of "new" and "different" GW2 has, obviously, the upper hand. |

Rolling a Slayer on Balder.
I loved Lineage 2 even if it got pretty gay at times in terms of character design.. But in Tera, no matter how I changed his appearance I couldn't get my char not to be very, very, very gay looking. In a poser's MMORPG like this one, it's kinda sad I can't even bear to look at my char.
Been years since I've played a MMORPG so I'm not done with this yet, I'm looking forward to a PvP experience similar to Lineage 2's to make up my mind about this game.

Similar setup and similar experience for me, the game hardly runs at 60FPS at max settings everywhere.

trying since yesterday to get pass over 0% applying patch.
on 3 computers.
2 on a router, 1 on direct connection.
i got the client at least 3 times with three different methods. installed in program file, or on another partition. used all the official fixes and community fixes i found.
nothing.
good riddance. seems like is hard to make a workable launcher after all this months.

Such a thing would do the opposite of what you think it would do. It would create a shitstorm of huge porpotions.
Not only that, it would create a huge legal precedent, since that would violate a lot of laws, like monopoly laws etc in the EU.
All this for a game that already failed twice ? And is free 2 play ?

I still don't get it then why the dev would come out and say "no" to AMD when they asked to change something in order to get crossfire working.
I read somewhere that they are deliberate disabled crossfire, but didn't find any specific reason.
It just makes no sense that a dev would do such a thing

Wouldn't surprise me tbh, it's UE3, they favor nvidia mostly anyway.

Indeed. Played today for some 20 mins and tested how the hardware is used. 65% GPU and CPU usage while the framerate is all over the place (30 / 45 / 70 / 90 etc) means I won't be spending too much time in this game. Firstly on this basis. The rest becomes irrelevant. |

was, then moved to arcadia before later stages of broker/economy gets out of hand. fortunatley they are not yet allowing those on fraya with 10,000 gold to server transfer yet

Didnt say a thing , not pathetic to not have time to sit on ass all day playing mmo's....
Im about to hit 20 as warrior through casual 2 day play, you can if you have no life hit 28 in one day easy Ive seen from guild members 
At least your not a mystic I guess that shit would be terrible for your leveling time you get later on hehe... |

Made 20 in about two days as well, had a weekend free earlier and decided to give this a try, heard it's gonna go f2p and I returned to it now. As I've previously said, it reminds so much of L2 and that's pretty great.

Yeah I find myself playing it regardless of what I think of any part of it good or bad points.. I just got to Valley of Titans and saw the first sort of large boss thing roaming around the fights are great fun, and fluid for all whats going on. I just enjoy the combat style and then you have the other aspects of mmo parts strapped on which is a bonus if one already just likes it for fighting mobs.
I tend to stop and harvest everything I see as well and its becoming a little addictive on that front, I think its because I want that Halo you get above ones head on reaching 300 gathering in all skills for such , Plus I look like a dirty hoe in my Ktera moded files on the Elin  |

Sausje: what is happening to you of late.. If I had to guess, I would say you are having some sort of crisis in your life..
Roll on Arcadia never had a problem joining
Also if anyone is having gripes with reading fonts on say mouseover inventory stuff, or in general.. do this.
Go to YOUR > E:\TERA\Client\S1Game\Localization directory, and back up the EUR folder.
Go into the INT directory and copy both files in there to the EUR folder. Rename the GFxUI.int to GFxUI.eur and overwrite.
much better, if though you use all those funny letters with hats and acents above them you will probably not be able to see them. But if you play in english this is a god send I found for clarity.
Bit silly how the INT english if used in korea for example if they wish is better looking and not anti aliased rubish they put in the EUR folder for EU client. ?? odd.
anyhow they are aware but this fixes it in the mean time if its not good enough for you
