As much as I disliked the bloom and glaring lights in the original trailer, I really do have a hunger for "future" tech and would definitely like to see this finished and released.

I wasn't convinced by that site thus I didn't update the title. And I was probably right. Industry researcher expert Superannuation tweeted that it's likely fan-made and thus fake.

Every day that passes is one more nail in the game's tomb. Assuming it resumes development at some point and it will need 1 year of developing and marketing for its release, then we are talking about a 2014-2015 release.
The Doom 3 engine will look primitive by then. Either it was in development all this time (unlikely) and it releases soon, or it'll never release, unless it's remade from scratch for the new generation (something that did happen with Prey 1  )
