after the 3rd replay RE5 actually seemed ok.
the main reason for this is because i played it with a friend this time and i did not have to deal with the retarded bitch wasting ammo and health. we had a lot of fun running... shooting... taking cover while shooting...WHICH has NOTHING to do with RE series.
Fuck you, Capcom!
And fuck you too, EA!

QLOC is making the PC port. Meh. I was hoping for Capcom Japan's involvement like in previous MT Framework games.

I think this makes it less probable that the PC version will be greatly enhanced with DX11 (as I hoped), judging by QLOC's RE:ORC PC version that was unimpressive, plus they haven't announced anything particularly impressive for DmC either.

Wasn't that posted a few days ago?

EDIT: No it was in the Devil May Cry 5 topic, maybe Capcom is using QLOC for most of their PC ports now?
(With support from AMD, or maybe it's game specific kinda like with Ubisoft and Far Cry 3 and Assassins Creed 3.)

Maybe. But I intend to play it first before I condemn it. And I was interested to see further enhancements in the engine's DX10/11 path. But now that's unlikely.

Told ya.

Quote:
Plenty of Resident Evil 6 news for you today kicking off with the PC version. It’s now been confirmed that the PC version of Resident Evil 6 will be available as a digital download in North America from Friday March 22, 2013, with European PC gamers able to purchase both the digital version and a disc based version from the same date.

Both the digital and retail versions of Resident Evil 6 PC will contain all the content found in the original console release plus receive any additions contained in any free title updates such as Ada Wong’s campaign being accessible from the outset and the challenging No Hope difficulty mode.

Furthermore the digital version will take full advantage of Steam functionality by supporting the following features:

·Cloud saving
·Steam Achievements
·Friends support
·Game overlay
·Leader boards

Spec-wise, this is what you’ll need:

Minimum specs
· OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
·Processor: Intel® CoreTM2 Duo 2.4 Ghz or better, AMD AthlonTM X2 2.8 Ghz or better
·Memory: 2 GB RAM
·Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
·Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800GTS or better
·DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
·Sound: Standard audio device

Recommended specs
·OS: Windows Vista®/XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
·Processor: Intel® CoreTM 2 Quad 2.7 Ghz or better, AMD PhenomTM II X4 3 Ghz or better
·Memory: 4 GB RAM
·Hard Disk Space: 16 GB free hard drive space
·Video Card: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560 or better
·DirectX®: 9.0c or greater
·Sound: Standard audio device

Capcom recommends PCs equipped with NVIDIA GeForce graphics processors to deliver the best experience when playing Resident Evil 6 PC. Stand by for the first in-game assets from the PC version coming early next year.

dx9 only. Nothing extra announced (yet?).

Lost Planet 1 was the first DX10 game in the world, and with Lost Planet 2 they had started incorporating DX11 effects.

This gets nothing. But when you outsource your Japanese engine to a Polish developer, what do you expect, it will be a miracle to get it running at all.

RE:ORC PC version has terrible performance, aliasing, shadows, and textures on the highest setting.

I am not hopeful for this.

And patch #2 announced:

Quote:
Continuing its on-going commitment to listen to feedback from Resident Evil 6 players and, wherever possible improve the gameplay experience, Capcom is pleased to confirm that a second free update for Resident Evil 6 will be available on January 22nd, 2013. This follows the first free update for the game which is available from today. This second free update will deliver the following enhancements:

Agent Hunt Mode

· Available without having to complete a campaign

· Selectable criteria for joining a session

o Stage selection

o Region selection

o Players can determine whether to join a session based on campaign player’s settings such as infinite ammo or friendly fire setting

Stage selection
· Individual stages within chapters can be accessed at any time once completed

General
· QTE assist

QTE assist is currently part of the Amateur difficulty level, and automatically completes QTEs for the player. With this update, players can optionally activate QTE assist on any difficulty level.
· Adjustments

o Some sections of the game have had their difficulty adjusted to provide an improved experience

Finally, Xbox 360 owners will be able to purchase Resident Evil 6 as a digital download when it releases as a Games On Demand title this holiday season.

From what I've read RE6's QTEs are abysmal, the worst of the worst. So nothing of value was lost Razz

There's no such a thing as good QTEs if you ask me, it's just useless non-gameplay anyway. Razz If I will ever install this game, I'll definitely enable that option, so at least I can actually watch the cutscenes without annoying "press here!1" chores Laughing

http://www.shacknews.com/article/77128/resident-evil-6-sales-expected-to-fall-short-of-expectations

Quote:

Capcom has sharply revised its earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending in March. Net sales are expected to be 11% less than previously expected, while operating income is expected to drop over 36 percent. The reason? "Sales of the major new title Resident Evil 6 were initially strong, but subsequently weakened," Capcom explained to investors.

"As a result, sales for this title are certain to fall short of the plan," the report continues. In addition to Resident Evil 6's lackluster performance, the delay of Monster Hunter 4 in Japan will also impact Capcom's overall outlook.

Resident Evil 6 launched strong, hitting the second place position in the October NPDs. Capcom shipped 4.5 million copies of the game, expecting mass market appeal with the latest sequel. However, disappointing reviews from critics and fans alike may have stunted the game's momentum.

Of course, they'll fail to learn any valuable lesson from this.
