I dont think the physics are THAT bad, i struggle with them just as much as i did with the original one.... It does act retarded sometimes but again just like in the original...
i wish they had more tracks from the original...
I mean compared to the "underground" series this shit is a masterpiece IMO
I too have fun with the game. It is very similar to the debate around Counter Strike 1.6 and Counter Strike Source. Some people just want to hate one version, no matter what.
The physics of the game are different, but not worse. In the old THPS games, the physics were retardedly floaty at times. Here, they are retardedly heavy on occasion.
Compared to how unpolished the handling in Neversoft's first THPS game was (here, I said it: THPS1 is not the godsend you remember it to be!), this one actually feels a bit more mature. I'd like Robomoto to do a completely new THPS game with an improved version of this engine, it definitely has potential.
And BTW: THUG2 was when the franchise started to decline rapidly.
I didn't insult anyone, I don't cast aspersions on anyone, I didn't mock anyone, I simply gave my honest opinion of the game and then defended that opinion when YOU took offence to it. Now you're the one making out that anyone who disagrees with you is just doing so "to hate" and that they're remembering incorrectly just because YOU like a game THEY don't.
But that's okay, don't hold back bro.. tell us all how you really feel
What I find astounding is that the modder has added Reverts back into the game..!! Sodding Activision, ripped out Revert in order to sell it as DLC
The multiplayer part of the game is still there, it's just disabled/buried and most likely relies on specific 360/PS3 servers. Oh and the WEM music/audio files are PCM and you can add your own as long you're comfortable with hex editing;
A manual (and nose manual) is when you go up on either the front, or back on the rear, wheels. A revert is, like you said, when you land and switch. They "disabled" revert in the base game and said it's coming in the upcoming THPS3 DLC -- but it turns out the feature was there all along, just set to disabled on non "expansionmap" maps.
Activision, eh? Ah well.... modders have fixed the config issues, they've fixed the revert, they've detailed how to fix the music (so no doubt there will be an automated audio switcher tool eventually), hopefully they do something about the onscreen button display for 360 controllers -- and they're currently working on fixing the physics too. This could end up the definitive version, once the audio and physics stuff is fixed
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 HD Revert Pack, the downloadable content for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, expands on game’s winning formula with the inclusion of three levels from the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 (Airport, Los Angeles, and Canada). Skateboarding legends Steve Caballero and Geoff Rowley make their return to the world of Tony Hawk games and James Hetfield and Robert Trujillo from Metallica make a surprise appearance as playable characters. But perhaps most importantly for true fans, the Revert move makes it return for mind-blowing combos!
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."

"a phenomenon."
