How are your finances going?
Me I'm barely existent in the system. No bank account, all cash. No Taxes, but it's due to lack of opportunity, I do work however as a "resale" man completely off the grid. But since even without tax cuts it barely covers daily necessities why make it official?
I never buy games or any sort of software entertainment. Most my money goes to "prison" like food since I can't cook worth a shit, Internet bill (which is about $35 a month), shelter and cigarettes or weed (it costs almost nothing here) and diesel. My car and Computer are products of a wealthier past.
So how's your wallets going, humpers? I know it's a "touchy" subject for a lot of you. But feel free to speak, no judging here.

I don't have any money :\ I am totally dependent on my folks, and you cannot imagine who that sucks.
Before, if I went out they were happy that I was actually going out and having life, now, every time I try to go out, my mom rolls her eyes and you can see the contempt in her eyes, so it's juuuuust peachy
I am working on one website with my sister, that should be done soon, and I'll get some money with which I plan on buying some new clothes.
Oh, and lately my sister's been doing all the shopping for me. My parents aren't that good on the financial side (loads of credits and shit like that), so she's been helping out any way she can, since she got a job... And that's kinda even more embarrassing...

Agreed!
Luckily, there is piracy to reduce costs a bit...

Lots of income (salaried job, websites, dividends from company, stocks, ppc campaigns, some shareware)
Lots of expenses (mortgage, real estate tax, homeowners association, auto insurance, internet, electricity, gas, food, web hosting, proxies, car payments, brothers tuition, brothers rent, helping parents out).
I'm cash flow positive, but barely. But I still have a lot of money saved up, so even if I fuck something up I have a safety net.
The bad news is I have so much going on in my life that I barely have any time to eat anymore.

I'm doing rather good for now. Both me and my wife are engineers, we work in electrical power industry - money is good, but we're becoming quite streched.
We save for a house, we help the parents, and with another child incoming next summer we can't afford extra-expenses (new computer - my E8400 + GTX260 aged quite well, but it's barely holding in the latest games; driver's license + second car for my wife, etc.). Still, i'm not complaining - considering the shitty state my country is in, i'm one of the more fortunate.

What an epeen thread
I'm not going to divulge any information as jealousy easily turns to hatred. And would suggest anyone else who's well off and reading this thread not to post anything.

Didn't you just now flash your own epeen by saying that? |
Everything is relative, besides as a moderator it is my job to regulate but also to serve as a "lightning rod", thus preventing too much animosity amongst members.
Whats best, disliking the authority, or disliking fellow members? Because that is what this thread would amount to in time.
It is a strange thing, I cannot close it as it would be considered power abuse by quite a few members, so the only thing I can do is making sure that theres not too much hate amongst members.
Whatever I choose to do I loose, but I can make the choice that does not spill into the forum too much.

I have most of my salaries saved up. 95% of my life is me sitting behind my PC working on my projects. That's what makes me happy, and it's a pretty cheap way to live.
Aside from standard stuff like rent, utilities, food, fuel and occasional PC upgrade I don't have many expenses. Most people would probably spend that money (from I can tell), buy a new apartment, furnish it properly, maybe get a better car etc. But what do I get from spending dozens of thousands on those things, if they make up a less than 5% of my interests.
So yeah, most of it is piling up in the bank, and I have trouble understanding people who will spend all their money as soon as they get it (on non-essentials).
Maybe in a few years I save up enough and live off the interest? Or maybe I just go nuts and get that apt and car.

I earn around 700 euros per month (main job + part time job), but many things are more expensive here than in Europe (gasoline, food, electronics etc). Electricity is cheaper, though. I also applied for specialist degree, so more than half of my income goes for bills and scholarship, the rest goes for food and helping out my parents (I still live with my family, there are five of us and only mom works beside me).
I was thinking about moving out, but there's no point in that if I'm gonna live as a single, it's just too expensive (and I really don't feel like cooking lol). So I guess it will have to wait until I find someone serious, I'm sick of lazy sluts who only want my money and cock (no matter whos).
The average salary here is 300-350 euros, so I'm not in bad position, but still, I don't actually feel like I have much money for spending. Luckily I don't really have time for going out, and when I occasionally have, I'm tired and want to sleep or watch something, so at least I don't waste my money in clubs etc.

i work halftime as a designer at a small local company which gives me enough to get by, basically the reason i keep the job is that it allows me to be away touring with my band a few months per year..my band is signed to a major label so we see aloooot of money going in but we have to cover just as many expenses with it so by the end of the day the balance sheet is not really in our favor
i have been taught since i was a kid never to let money influence my behaviour and mood, i have it extremely difficult to feel down or get depressed due to lack of cash, but i can ofc relate to it
