What kind of Math was it on?

When I get one of those Double-Fourier transform homeworks or integration that deals with some crazy shit and takes 3 pages to solve

So much of this Very Happy

Add me to the list Razz

The hilarious thing is, my cousin wanted some help a couple of weeks ago with some relatively easy stuff, I saw it and was like Poker Face ..realizing that I can't remember absolutely anything about that.

It's like my brain auto-deleted every single trace of maths-related material, like some kind of self defence mechanism. xD

(could be that I'm getting old, too :3 )

On my first class in mathematical analysis, the professor (who is a hardcore math professor, not some young crook) said, "if I skip one year teaching this course, I have to re-read my books to prepare for teaching again" Smile

What kind of math is it? You can always post here, and ppl will help Wink

I for one love math over the physics (eeek! xD), because I find it fun to calculate stuff Very Happy

When I solve some thing and see that the solution kinda makes sense, it's really a cool feeling Very Happy

Which I cannot say for the seminar I have Sad And it's due in a month, month and a half :\

But i guess that also says a bit about how practical the course is, does it not? Razz

Yeah Laughing . Maths is useful, but some branches are definitely too abstract to be interesting (and useful for your hypothetical job). There are countless of theorems that don't have any concrete purpose but you're supposed to learn them.."because you have to, don't ask why". Razz

And it's not like you do not use AutoCAD or MathCAD or Matlab to solve them and have to solve all by hand Laughing Laughing

Haha it can be confusing at first, but once you get used to them and memorize the few formulae that you need it's a walk in the park (as long as the exercises aren't too abstruse of course Razz). You should consider yourself lucky that you're not in the dark side of maths yet xD
