Is this the same damn judge again? Regardless of the case or outcome, I like the way he thinks. Disrespect the court? Fine, have some more to disrespect then.

Read this on Elevate today:
HTC and Apple Settle Patent Dispute
Quote: | All Patent Litigation Between The Companies Dismissed
TAIPEI and CUPERTINO, California - November 11, 2012 – HTC and Apple have reached a global settlement that includes the dismissal of all current lawsuits and a ten-year license agreement. The license extends to current and future patents held by both parties. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
“HTC is pleased to have resolved its dispute with Apple, so HTC can focus on innovation instead of litigation,” said Peter Chou, CEO of HTC.
“We are glad to have reached a settlement with HTC,” said Tim Cook, CEO of Apple. "We will continue to stay laser focused on product innovation." |
Good news, atleast now they don't have to worry about that anymore!

Unlike Apple or Samsung that steals most of their ideas and claim their own, HTC has been innovative for years before the others even glanced at the smartphone market

Unless I am mistaken Tim Cook said that.

Well, not sure if that is anything good, some analists predict that apple gets from $6 to $8 per device from HTC, nice patent going on there.
thats just mere speculation

$6 to $8 on a ~$700 device, that's not too bad of a deal to avoid bullshit lawsuits if you ask me

No offense to our American friends here, but your government and institutions are fucking retarded. This kind of patent would only be approved by USPTO, no other country in the world would allow a patent on something like this. Fuck shit cunt ass.
Edit: Brb I'm gonna patent gravity with USPTO, so y'all gotta pay me money.

You can try, but don't get your hopes up. Apple has probably already filed a patent on gravity that is being approved as we speak.

WTF? If you export from InDesign to SWF file, you get that effect, and that was there way before apple had anything to do with it!
Apple dafuq?!

I liked this comment.
"Reminds me of a former boss that when asked about cutting funds from the research/development budget he responded "we are moving that money to the legal department".

Yet he was the one starting this thing, atleast he was in charge when Apple turned patent troll, which makes him responsible.
