I hope, that, (aside from the tutorial) missions are not also designed for mostly action also. We've seen some good missions, but only a few.

Exactly, and that's nothing new in the franchise, it was pretty common in several missions from both hitman 1 and 2 (with partial objectives like "eliminate the second in command", "plant a beacon in order to trace the boss location", "get to the entrance of the base", etc.), which is considered to be the best in the series by a good amount of people. I personally can't decide yet between Hitman 2 and Blood Money. Both have their "charms".

so I decided to give the sniper challenge game a go - got the skidrow .iso, applied the update 2+3, then the skidrow 2+3 crack. Click the .exe and nothing happens Sad Anyone have this happen? No a/v running or anything like that here, either. Just to make double sure I dl'd the crack from GCW, same thing....

It's Blood Money for me. They pushed the engine and that is the compromise so it can run on consoles Sad

Do you have windows 8? I think Hitman Sniper Challenge have buddha.dll which has (or had) compatibility issues with Windows 8. Try to use buddha.dll from latest Sleeping Dogs v 1.7 update by SKIDROW. People reported they finally made it comaptible with Win8.

Thanks for responding - I'm on Vista x64. I did try the buddha.dll from SD v1.7 though - no dice.

Not sure if this will help, but here's the list of files in the install dir, maybe it's missing some files? People were talking about a hmsc_xxx.dll file earlier, I don't have it

i think there was crackfix too for update 2+3 which could solve this problem

hmm.. couldn't find a crackfix for update 1+2 (accidentally was calling it 2+3). Anyway, I made a little progress : the game launches when

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Valve\Steam]
"InstallPath"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valve\Steam]
"InstallPath"="C:\\Program Files\\Steam"

is added to the registry. Skidrow...

Will test more later when I have time. And I don't have steam installed, btw

Wasn't it mentioned a while back that their method relied on having Steam installed?

If it's just a registry path I guess it's simple enough to add but I assume it's for hooking steamclient.dll
(Which some games have their own copies of, steam_api.dll is normally always provided with the cracked exe so it's not for that file.)

(Could also be for the .blob file with all settings and such data.)

EDIT: Sniper Challenge doesn't have a steamclient.dll file so that can't be it either, maybe just some leftover of the way they bypass the Steam CEG protection?

No steam-protected games have ever required steam reg entries, so I'm not sure what the deal is either. I remembered something about that from way long ago, which is where I got the idea to search for the correct entries to add to begin with. I assume it's either something that can't be removed without a bunch of extra cracking work (lazy), or just plain sloppy cracking (extra lazy).

The two girls above were given extra polygons to keep jagged edges to a minimum, you know, for the sake of realism.

Dayuuum! I want to play now that Chinatown parade mission or whatever it was. I loved the New Orleans Mardi Gras Level in Blood Money, so anything similar with those graphics they've been showing should be spectacular Very Happy

It's not that he sucks at the game, hell, when I livestreamed (1st in the world Smug ) first gameplay of The Witcher 2, I died 4 times when the first group attacked, and 5+ times because of the dragon. Laughing

It's not that he sucks at the game, it's that he COMPLAINS and BLAMES the game for his stupidity. He called "crouch jumping" a "bugged jumping mechanic" ffs Laughing
