Most thing is faster load times and less stuttering when textures are loading during gameplay (if you already have some)

what he said...
so far I've been through 5400RPM HDD; 7200RPM HDD; Velociraptor (10k rpm); 2x 7200rpm RAiD 0 and SSD, and the only noticeable difference between all those were load times on most games and less streaming-stutter on some games.
especially open-world games like GTA / Saints Row benefit from SSD even over RAiD 0.
only games currently on my SSD: BF3 + Saints Row 3 + Sleeping Dogs...
all other 200+ games are on a RAiD 0 volume :3

I like how much faster installing games from mounted .iso to SSD is.
That's a great perk to having a ssd for games.

Obviously a game that have thousands of files is faster on an SSD than a game that is keeping all it's files in a packed and encrypted datafile since the biggest strength of an SSD is the miniscule latencies when loading MANY different files almost at once. But in most cases an SSD will always be faster no matter what.
