I won't leave, as suggested I just blocked JackQ. I'm more relaxed now. Although I did see JackQ posts indirectly since Saner quoted them. My point wasn't to make everyone beg me to "stay". It was really personal with JackQ, not any of you at all.
No hard feeling though, they make me laugh more than anything.

I argue with anyone regardless of post count, considering I was here long before PHPbb I would say I have a miniscule post count (and yes we all had to sign back up when it went from vBulletin to phpbb) so your point is invalid.

Do you really call what they do arguing or discussing anyway Saner? Both of them just spew shit out which is mostly their opinions/ideas mixed in with misinformation based on little more than rumours. When presented with facts they stick their head in the sand and when asked to present facts conveniently "miss" that part of your post. Then again, that happens a lot on the internet, most don't actually know how to debate properly, it's too easy to just not read.

Just flashed Rogero 4.21, no brick here. Flashed straight from 3.55 KMEAW and selected no shutdown after flashing. My console info is Slim CECH-2101A with a Samsung K8P2716UZC-QI4D NOR chip.
i7 3770k, GTX980, 16GB Ram, SSD Raid0, Internet 3rd world shit not worth mentioning

I have a hardware flasher and a backup of my NOR, so there was no risk.
Any good games you guys can recommend? No shooters please, I play them on PC.

Showtime plays MKV's, it's integrated in multiman. It's not the best player for high bitrate movies, but for 720p rips it works fine.

So, I can finally update my stagnant ps3 to at least 4.21? And then install Rogero's CFW? Or should I just install Rogero's CFW straight from 3.55KMEAW or 3.55 Rogero?
(honestly, I cannot recall which firmware I'm running)
I am curious though, on a CFW (past 3.55, that is) when streaming media, does cinavia protection still kick in? The only thing that I've been using one of my PS3's (the only one that is still hacked) for is media streaming.
Now these are first world problems...

I can't give you anywhere near a complete answer, but for 3.55 there was a Disable Cinavia fiz. That probably needs updated for 4.21. As for the streaming, without that fix, I'd imagine the Cinavia protection does kick in.

Tested on CECH-2003A as I hadn't used my PS3 for some time I had to re-install 3.55 CFW and then installed 4.21 as update from USB.
Seems that most of the bricks are SLIM models, FAT PS3s should be fine but don't take that a 100%.

You need to be on CFW already. Don't go to OFW 3.56+ because then you'll be fucked - you install 4.x CFW straight from 3.55 CFW.

My PS3 has been gathering dust for a while so yes I have used older versions of showtime. I will try it again with a high bit rate 1080p movie.
