Anyone has or had RSI?

I've been typing a lot lately, spending long hours on the pc... now I have this pain in my fingers, inside the hand, and in the right wrist... Sad
I think I'm fucked, and I still have a lot of work to do for the next few months...

(I have a ms natural 4000 ergonomic keyboard, mx518 mouse, and a good chair)

It's very easy to remedy, just take regular breaks (10 minutes every hour for example).

just relax and you'll be fine. Take a break now and then etc.

I thought I had the same ~3 years ago but in my case it turned out to be just poor blood circulation on my hands (the blood was probably going south, knowhadimean?! J Browman ) and after a few months it disappeared completely.

Get some of those grip trainers, not the cheapo ones at the supermarket but the real ones that actually require some force to close. Get the lightest one and move up from there.. maybe strengthening the muscles and tendons in the hands help, but i've had no problems. If that sounds like a load of bunk to you, just take breaks, and bathe your hands in ice water and then hot water, alternating.

I always thought RSI was an imaginary condition for work shy people. I've used computers for years and never had an issue.

Then one day, I woke up and had no feeling in my right hand (had the sensation that you get when you sleep on your arm funny). It didn't wear off for about a week and then was restricted to 2 fingers for another fortnight.

Really sucked. I bought a new supportive mouse mat and changed my sitting position and all seems to be well.

Probably ganglion cysts forming, Invasor, you're screwed. Smile

Like me Sad

My advice, instead of playing games, do something else, like watching tv shows, going for walks etc. Of course work is unavoidable.
