| Quote: | Even when you ‘get’ it, combat feels weak and ill-thought out – bland, uninteresting, and based almost entirely around status effects. Use skill to make enemy bleed (or whatever). Use skill that does extra damage against bleeding enemies. Repeat until all the enemy’s blood has gone. Other elements are simply out of step with the source material, such as glugging down health potions mid-fight and Alester’s more advanced fire powers. Honestly, it’s best to just switch the difficulty to Casual and focus on the story. Most regular fights become trivial, though there are still a few tough ones to handle.
Ultimately, Game of Thrones is a frustrating, ugly, low-rent RPG that’s flawed in almost every way and difficult to impossible to recommend – but which fans still might enjoy more than they probably should. At the very least, it’s not a lazy cash-in, just one trying its best on far too small a budget. If you can tolerate that – and yes, it’s a lot to tolerate – don’t necessarily run screaming from its score. |

I know it is a shame but ...
This is exactly what I have done recently, being fed up with the combat system.
(Impossible after 20 attempts to beat 6 unavoidable foe with Alister)
I actualy like the storyline as well as the TV series ... and of course mmmhh Kaleesy ^^

The best RPG combat ever. Not gaming’s best story, but maybe its best storytelling. Darker, sexier, better.

Yeah, I played it on Normal difficulty (I generally choose "hard" in every game, not necessarily "hardest") from the start, knowing that it was the first time I played this kind of combat (yeah I know many RPGs use this turn-based combat system). And it seems I did the right thing, otherwise the game would have gotten terribly frustating and that might have ruined the amazing story. But the result was that I enjoyed the game a lot!

So whats up with all the DLC thats listed on steam and xbox live, is there any way to get this to work? Are there also quests or is it just weapons and dog skins?
And whats your exact choice of values for the FXAA injector, do you use pre-sharpening or only post sharpening?

I enabled both the pre and post sharpening, but the difference isn't that big to be honest. You can try the settings that I made for Kingdoms of Amalur and see if you like them:

Thanks! This looks a tad better than the one I used (from Mass Effect 3) and it seems to be a newer version of the injector interface.

A patch was released a while back and they also switched to the new content format some week ago (Maybe longer, I only noticed it recently.) and now there's a dlc.

Two new models for that (by default really ugly) dog that Mors has.

Well according to the folder dlc_02 (Weapon pack) and dlc_03 (Dog pack) are now out, however there's still dlc_01 whatever that might be (Might have been answered earlier in this thread come to think of it.) but it seems it might be next as there's still a blank third DLC entry here.

It took me around 25-30 hours if I remember right, but after those hours I felt really good, well worth the time lost in this masterpiece.

The correct answer was Godric Donnerly, right? My memory is not that good usually so I'm testing it right now, along with how much I love this game.
