Nah, it was the same(RU keys working) with MW3 and the original BO too I think.

Wait a sec, so u are saying that buying a really cheap RU key - will be the same as the normal multilanguage keys ? U will only use a VPN but the game will be not RU locked or something like that ?

Nope, nothing is different then other keys (just the part about activation i'm not sure about).
Tho there is always the chance of a huge banwave of RU keys.

I hope that Estonia will be in same region that MW3 is.
That means RU key = ENG/RU selection for whole game without patches etc.

Er... wat?

Not that I played it that much, especially the online (Reaction) but RU MW3 didn't need any ghetto patching.

This.

And all I know so far is that German keys will be region free.

And lately they have been restricting Baltic states too, unlike before Sad Not that I care about this particular POS game (Cool Face) but overall it's a disappointing tendency for me.

Yup, they've been going about it slyly lately. Waiting until just a few days, perhaps a week, before release and THEN region locking.

those new maps and weapons for black ops look nice.....oh, wait. we have to buy the game again????

j/k Very Happy

I regret spending 70 EUR on black ops 1. I had to import it, because we had a censored version here.....never....again. I'll get the ISODEMO of BO 2 (BO 1.1) and play the zombie mod with friends via hamachi...or get a cheap russian key, worked fine with mw3, everything is english.

Zombie mod via Hamachi...good luck with that, haha. The last time that was possible was with World at War. And the Russian keys are region locked.

why shouldn't it work with hamachi? I thought they were going to add dedicated servers to the game? or were they lying again?

no ru keys for us? ow, then I won't buy it. the german version will be censored, they can say what they want...they will do it, just like BO1 (they censored it for germans and restricted the zombie mod, you could only play with players from germany Very Happy).

but still...hamachi should work since they've added dedicated servers? or do you think they just copy & pasted the zombie mod from BO1 with the whole matchmaking system? ... that would suck.

maybe 4D1 will bring their solution, but there are ranked dedicated servers in blops2, so I doubt that...

But you could probably tunnel only Steam.exe traffic through russian Tor exit node with use of software like ProxyCap but still play directly on your internet connection and use your internet connection for everything else. Pretty easy and straightforward to set up and well worth saving some money. Or better yet, ignore the game. It don't deserve to be bought when they put crap like regional restriction in it.

It's the matchmaking system for zombies. Multiplayer is matchmaking with dedi's behind it.

Re-installed Black Ops and was reminded of why I'll never purchase another Call of Duty title - the playerbase.

Played for an hour and all I saw was camping. That's it, that's all they do.
Everyone is so afraid of playing aggressive on game modes that are based on aggression and movement such as team/deathmatch, so all they do is camp around the map with their claymores and invisibility perk and wait for someone who wants to actually play the game to pass by and shoot him in the back.

I can understand playing cautious in game modes such as S&D, but why the hell are you so goddamn passive in an aggressive game?

No one wants to actually play and "work" for their kills, no, they just want to camp and shoot you in the back.

Who the hell pays 60$ just to camp in a corner and wait?

So no, I don't care how many shiny new features 3arc added and that Blops 2 is trying to be an E-Sports game, it's still aimed at the same morons who like EZ mode games that hand them everything and caters to their shitty playstyle.

Modern Warfare 1 has 40+ in a server and airstrikes rain down every second yet people move their asses and actually seek out the opposition and play a fast paced shooter the way it's meant to be played.

Modern Warfare 2 and onwards supports 12-18 players in a match, airstrikes don't rain down every second and people are passive.

Even S&D in MW1 plays out faster and more aggressive.

"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.

Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

Of course there are campers in Call of Duty, but I haven't seen more campers in Call of Duty then I have seen in Battlefield. I can't really agree with your opinion about the game, people play aggressive pretty much all the time.

Yep, Call of Duty is the most aggressive and fast paced shooter on the market, compared to CoD - Battlefield gameplay is way more slower and basically u can fall asleep while u move from one location to another on BF maps. Very Happy

So, yes, there are campers, but the mass of the players are moving and moving (not Johny Walker style).

Campers in CoD are like 3-4% of all players!
This percent is much higher in BF3 - up to 40%.

Bitch, please. On consoles perhaps. It's not quite what I call fast paced at all, BF3 and CoD are both really fucking slow to be honest.

And there's different types of campers in both games. BF has the sniper camper who sits in a building or up on some crane or some shit. That, or those defending the objectives - objectives being something that is present in CoD, but in public games noone gives the slightest hint of a fuck about.
CoD has the 14yo piece of shit that sits in a corner for a week, only killing those that run by. Then, once you respawn and run past the same spot killing them, you're obviously cheating. That is, if you weren't his Xth kill for a killstreak and he now has a fucking nuke to spawn kill you and the rest of your team.

LOL

Too bad that the hackers are IMO present in a much higher percentage than in BF3.
They were even able to use some hacks from MW2 FFS Laughing

Played both games near the release and it was something like MW3: time needed to spot 3 hackers=40 minutes, BF3: time needed to spot 3 hackers=~3 months. Laughing

This can be explained easy:

You need skills to play CoD, it's more dynamic, hardcore and realistic. And players with no skills are cheating.

In BF3 you need to empty 1 or 2 clips to kill someone. In real life an random person will die after a sigle shot, or 2-3 bullets. If you call this realism - i'll pee on your face.

Yeah, I've only spent ~160hrs in MW2 kicking ass, how the hell would I be able to spot a hacker in MW3?

Cause you know, the games are so different between each other

Yeah, you're kurwa. Embarassed
There are different types of hacks in both games.
They are so obvious in CoD (due to many factors), and very hard to spot in BF3. Wink
