I've always wondered, was derpyD involved in the awesomeness of the original Unreal Tournament?

He and his masderpiece, Gears of War, are the ones that radically changed the way of playing third person shooters, making linearity and cover system become the standard in gaming. And guess what, the cover system is an expedient to simplify shooting mechanics for people using gamepads.

Gears of war1 ?
As far as I remember it was difficult if played in default hardcore level.
Only later in 2nd and third game this difficulty was not default and considered as high

After having watched some videos on Youtube it's clear that this "game" is one of the prime examples of Leo's Future of Gaming®

This shows that creating a small (casual?) game, with great graphics, for huge market (iPads + iPhones), and selling it for low price is the most profitable gaming business right now.
And in such cases I wonder what would happen if AAA games for 'big' consoles / PC's were being sold at such low prices? (Let's say 10 - 20 dollars.) Wouldn't it be more profitable for publishers than that standard rigidly set $60, which is usually fairly prohibitive for most gamers except that in richer countries like USA / Western Europe? (But even in those, costumers will always pick the cheaper if they find nice offer.)
Think of it that way:
60 USD x 1 mln copies sold gives you less revenue than 3 mln x 25 USD.

Epic should do everyone a favour and move on permanently to creating mobile only games and developing engines.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Wasn't there a recent interview where he said he wanted to make another single player Unreal? If a Kickstarter happens, i'm guessing it will be billed as a spiritual successor to Unreal.

May be now we'll start seeing some EPIC games on PC. | Well,... it was really not up to him, even if he's epic's master derp content creator.
Fortnite shows this since it's a timed PC exclusive, even if it *appears* to fail to comprehend the PC landscape these days (seriously, online connection needed all the time? )
I'll always hate this retard for IMO being the mind behind the whole hurrdurrpewpewpew trend that completely fucked so much 3rd person games, even if the fault lies especially within those who bought it (and into it) and made it a hit.
The fact that he acts like a first class douch also doesn't make him any favors.

Don't get your hopes too high, he'll probably start making casual games for phones
