Hmm, I have confidence that 3arc will do their best. There were barely any hackers in Black Ops. Even without a vote option and admins we should be fine.

I gotta say, Black Ops 2 sounds pretty darn good. Certainly better than shit called Modern Warfare 3.

Hmm? MW1 was the first game to introduce the 3hr (on PC, with mouse and keyboard) which was "OK" because it was cinematic and awesome and cinmeatic and awesome.

Really? I always remembered it being 6-8hrs or so, which - for a "cinematic awesome" roller-coaster - was always just right. I guess I remembered incorrectly Laughing

Nope, sadly that was the trend starter. But since what was there was actually good, people gave it a pass, including me. MP was still fun, SP was solid. It was a good package. What followed later is history.

It is still amazing how long Max Payne 3 is, while keeping immensly high production values and interesting story and narration. In Derp of Duty terms, there could have been 3 games in there, one for each chapter. Laughing Max Payne 3 is definitely the tour de force of any cinematic shooter, while Call of Dooty is the tour de farce.

MW1 sp was pretty damn good. It wasnt the longest sp ever made but it was good, interesting and fun. It had some elements we haven't seen before in those 'bad ass' FPS games.

I certainly hope BO2 will be void of hackers. Seriously, I jumped in that free MW3 period or whatever and from 10 joined servers, 8 of them had hackers. And shameless ones too, like following through walls and shit.

Nope, it's more like 5-7hrs.

Yeah, lets hope so. I like this -
We have a zero tolerance policy on cheating. Cheaters bans are permanent.
Not this useless resetting stats policy that EA/DICE have.

Gah, why mess with stuff that works? Player-administered dedis were great in BO, there's no reason not to use the exact same setup here.

Dedis were good, because of the ping...downside was kiddy admins, stupid rules and not able to play with your friends on the same team.

Dedis were good because of ping, playing maps you liked more than others, admins who spectated and kicked/banned potential hackers, having rules like NO STUPID GRENADE LAUNCHERS, and more. And if you didn't like the admins/rules on the server, there was nothing preventing you from simply choosing another. And you could usually choose teams in game.

This. The game will be spammed with cheaters, like every other game. And without an active admin that can kick them, this will be MW3 all over again, but with less lag.

I don't get why it is so hard for these fuck heads to understand that PC gamers just want a dedicated server client so we can run it the way we want to run it. It just blows my mind that they don't fucking get it.

That being said, as much as I keep telling myself that I refuse to buy another Call of Duty - The zombie modes in this one sound like a fucking blast so I will be picking it up for that reason alone.

Yeah it took me around 6 hours on Hard (unlike MW2 which was considerably shorter..and derpier).

I'm not gonna touch this game in multiplayer but I'll give a try to the SP campaign for free, as usual. It's like a (bad) tradition. Besides, the first Black Ops had a quite decent story (well except for the retarded ending and many Fuck Yeah references Laughing).

lolwut? Max Payne 3 had a fantastic story and by FAR some of the best narration in a game outside of Max Payne and Max Payne 2. You're just straight up trolling, as your name implies.

MW1 wasn't 3 hours, as I said with my usual over-exaggeration tone, I always do that, but it was certainly short. 5 hours is more realistic, and that was still completely different than the games that were out before that. CoD2 was 8-10 hours.

The the durr that said Max Payne 3 had an uninteresting story. Let me guess, you yawned at the "long" cut scenes and said "fuck it"? Rolling Eyes

Max Payne 3 was easily the most interesting game i've played this year. It's just that once you beat it there isn't much left because that game is all about the story. The story is what makes it such a good game. Along with the solid shooting.

Pffffffhahahaha Laughing Cool Face
But yeah, nowhere near the duration of the first 2 CoD's... the first being the game that managed to blow me away after thinking that it couldn't be done right after playing Allied Assault.

I definitely agree with Max Payne 3, it was miles better than the typical hurrdurr AAA seller story Sad
It probably was impossible for the durrs to follow, even with rockstar going OZOM IMAGE FILTER ACTIVATE NAO every 5s within any cutscene in order for them to focus Laughing

Stop trolling guys, Max Payne 3 doesn't stand a chance against BO2. As if David Goyer's writing wasn't enough, the game will be also focused on a strong choice-consequence system, non-linearity, and sandbox gameplay.

http://www.destructoid.com/black-ops-ii-choice-non-linearity-and-sandbox-gameplay-229315.phtml

It will be revolutionary, breakthrough, cool, amazingly zippy, beautiful!
