I doubt anyone would search for a Medal of Honor thread using the word "Warfare", sadly associated to some similarly derp franchise. So yeah, title is appropriate.
Year after year each game fights for the title of worst map design in gaming history. BF3 and Cod both so bad i cant even decide what company is worse, but ill pick Dice just for its wasted potential while other games being plane bad without any kind of potential
No Easy Day is a best-selling book that recounts the mission that killed Osama bin Laden. It's come under a great deal of controversy as its author, Matt Bissonnette (under pen name Mark Owen), did not seek Department of Defense approval before releasing the book. The DoD claims that the book reveals potentially classified information. The Pentagon has threatened legal action.
Apparently, Bissonnette has also consulted on Medal of Honor: Warfighter, the next military shooter from Electronic Arts. And as with No Easy Day, he did not receive authorization to do so.
When asked by The LA Times about their involvement with Bissonnette, an EA spokesperson said that "EA did not directly remunerate Mark Owen for his input on Medal of Honor Warfighter." True, because the publisher paid Silent R, a company which Bissonnette worked with, to "produce a series of promotional videos on authentic combat experiences in the war on terror."
While it's unlikely the Medal of Honor games (and any promotional materials for it) would reveal any classified information, Bissonnette's actions certainly seem unsavory. As one person noted on Kotaku, "This guy, very simply, sought to profit from his experiences as an operator." But, another commenter points out that "to think that terrorist groups would seek intel via a video game is ridiculous."
No idea if they're recreating that actual mission or are just looking for advice, might just be for PR as well.
(Activision and Raven did the same for Soldier of Fortune by working with John Mullins albeit that's a bit different as was the outcome of those games.)
Has that typical EA PR bullshit written all over it...
YO I HURD YOU CAN KILL BIN LADEN IN DIS GAEM!
THAT'S SICK BRO IMMA BUY IT NAO!11!1

I seriously doubt I'll buy this.
Not interested in the MP at all and the SP seems quite boring... I'll DL'it just to see Frostbite 2 in action again though

Err. The game title actually contains the word Warfighter and not Warfare. I guess it reminds me too much of the COD gems we've have these last few years
Yeah I'll likely do the same Tonizito, but from the screens provided so far it looks a bit worse than Battlefield 3 in how the engine is used but that could be due to numerous factors even something as basic as perhaps many of the images from BF3 were PC footage and these here are mainly console footage plus I guess Dice would know their own engine best and how it can be utilized even if EA apparently likes it quite a lot and now has several other studios checking on it, or so I've understood it.

Come on,you have to hand it to DICE when it comes to marketing their games, BC 2 and BF 3 both had fanstastic promotional campaigns when it comes to releasing info and trailers and such, those made by the Rollie Pollie dude, sure they were staged but they were representative of the game and pretty awesome.
And the game turned out nice(after patches, sorta) and with all the flaws BF 3 still never gets old .
I wouldnt put BF 3 in the same toilet as COD and MOH

I wouldn't either, yet. But the stupid singleplayer campaign in BF3 and some of the MP decisions/maps makes you fear about the direction EA/DICE might be taking from now on with future BF games :\

Nah i dont think so, i think they know very well what makes their game so different and so appealing compared to other military shooters that theyve sold this much, sure they will try to cater to both crowds, with CQC stuff and big classic BF stuff, but they won't go completely to one extreme .
I think they will try to refine it even further on both fronts .
Eh , the campaing was a little stupid, but it had some cool moments, and it was a nice bonus,it didnt take away from the effort that went into the multi, and im glad about that
That name had such a good reputation more than a decade ago. Now they're mopping the floor with it :\
Allied Assault was and still is one of my favorite shooters ever, it was extremely solid and rewarding, with good AI and fantastic sound effects.
Not to mention the soundtrack:
Awesome.
I quite liked Pacific Assault and Airborne too, 2010's MoH on the other hand..
Allied Assault
However I can't remember why I didn't like Pacific Assault as much. And I wasn't a fan of Airborne either. But I got such great memories from the first Medal of Honor (1999).

Hah, I've never played the original MoH but I remember being so happy when they decided to bring the series on PC with AA. Fortunately it didn't disappoint...back when EA was still a respectable company.
Damn! Now you go me confused. But you're right, the first MoH was PS1 only and I never played it on console. I could have sworn I played two Medal of Honor games back in the time (not Pacific Assault which I never finished). But can't remember now what it was

Maybe you played one of the expansions for AA (Spearhead/ Breakthrough)?

At least cod devs did took 1 second to think about the competitive play (mw2 aside) with their map design and gun balance. They still fail miserably every year and end up retexturing a game that worked in 2007. Dice did what every developer should when making a sequel. improve your engine, take risks, innovate. But its a MP focused game, less reality more gameplay !! you dont get kudos for how real your metro station looks or feels, or how good the textures on the walls are, or how awesome the smoke is. You find a map that works first and add all the rest afterwards!
Fire when being supressed is right at the core of competitive play.. You're taking fire from 5 guys and are about to die but your aiming reflexes help you take 2 enemies with you or even survive, you dont add supression penalties to mess up with that. make your prone animation last 1 second and you just made it useless. etc etc.. braking so many basic mp fps rules its not even funny
