I watch colbert report for the lulz
but i decided to watch the daily show today since colbert report didn't have any thing of value to say today
and damn... apart from pink performing... and that stupid "best fucking news team in the world" snippet... stewart really nailed it. It's a shame though. Only youths watch this shit... the stuff he said... even though laymen... was god damn brilliant. \o/

Both are great but take different approaches. I find them equally funny actually. Colbert is way more farcical which lends itself well to how he can ridicule politics

Yeah. But Stewart... he got all serious but never really got the message across. just half of it. in a half assed way. but last nights episode blew me away. Like wow. More of that plx and less of that low brow humour.

daily show is crap for me during elections cause there is too much "lol repubs crazy please vote dems!" going on. and if you know anything about US politics its 2 parties doing the same thing , talking different pretending you have a choice, and stewart of all ppl who isnt stupid plays along with that message.
i actually feel colbert is the smarter guy and touches on more important subjects

Actualy, the DS has been relatively even-handed with the biases shown in both parties. The clips the team put together are hilarious, highlighting both rep and dem prejudices and showing them simply unable to recognize just how stupid they look (preaching to end stereotyping, then go ahead and stereotype the opposition in the next sentence, for example).
My only problem with Stewart is his mishandling and conflict of interest in reporting the WTC memorial with that X-shaped pair of girders and denigrating the American Atheists' lawsuit after canceling Silverman's appearance on the show at the very last minute so he can't defend their position.
But otherwise, yeah, the DS is really starting to turn into a one-trick pony. Play a clip, make a funny confused face, rinse and repeat. Colbert is constantly mixing things up and actually satirizing the conservatives instead of just pointing out obvious flaws then rant about them.
I'll keep watching since they actually manage to squeeze in a few really good laughs every now and then, which is good enough for me. And they occasionally have a few good guests.
