I bought it today since my old one died off for some reason.
And I went throught a couple of stores trying to find a good one in my price range.
This one looked great. Until I tried playing Battlefield 3.

Apparetnly this keyboard can't recognize a combination of 3 keys or more.

After googling for hours I haven't been able to find a solution, and I've read it's hardware related, so fuck me.
The official recomendation of Logitech is to exchange it for the G something. Which is the ugliest piece of shit I've ever seen.

So I'm asking here if anyone has any idea how to circumvent this retarded design flaw.

And no, it isn't that big of a deal, not being able to jump while sprinting, just stop pressing W, right? And it isn't a problem. I'd just like a solution if this 2 key combo limit becomes a problem in another game.

The limit is 3 keys though, not 2 Smile

This keyboard has issues only with some specific 3-key combinations from what you showed me.

Can't you take it back and get a refund? If you need a reason just lie and say that it sometimes, randomly loses connection.

Yeah, it's just WASD and SHIFT + third key that doesn't work

@Newty182

I can return it, but it's such a great keyboard(if I can overlook this ghosting shit), and there aren't any good alternatives in my price range.

And I refuse to buy anything from the Logitech gaming series.

There wasn't a single second in my mind where I thought there could be something stupid as a key combo limit. I'd never heard of it before this

Ehm I can press 3 keys just fine? Bugge...err crouch jumping is no problem and I can sprint in BF3 and press spacebar just fine while I'm doing it? Pretty sure I can also use all 3 modifier keys and any other random key. 3 definitely isn't a problem at least.

No,unfortunately it's the keyboard. And my old keyboard had no limits
http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Keyboards-and-Keyboard-Mice/BEWARE-Logitech-Illuminated-Keyboard/td-p/509008/page/8
It's a hardware issue, and apparently a design decision, and it only affects WASD and arrow keys, coincidentaly keys used for gaming. And it affects only newer built Illuminated keyboards. The official Logitech solution to this problem is to buy the equivalent G series keyboard

Fucking cunts

Just quickly checked, tried with 5 and that still worked fine (Shift, control, alt and Windows key - on OS X atm, meaning I can actually use all 4 as modifier key). Also knew for sure 4 worked, because Photoshop's "save for web" requires 4 (3 modifiers + other key).

Well, at least you didn't cough up 100€ for a keyboard and then have ghosting occurring on it (corsair k90)... >.<

I'm still trying to RMA this one but it seems as if it's a firmware issue or summit so I might just get one that's also faulty. Sad

Like I said, it depends on when you bought it. They changed the matrix in the newer version.

And I tried it out on my sisters computer, same problem. Well, if having to release W in Battlefield is the worst effect of this issue, then I suppose I can live with it.

But if it should pop up in another game, or Bejeebus forbid in Dishonored or ACIII, I'm returning it, along with a flaming bag of dog shit.
