This shit is getting old. I see a game I feel like playing that I haven't in a while and I have to sit here for an hour to wait for to redownload the game? Why the hell isn't it doing this crap in the background?
The game is already downloaded. I went back to play Alan Wake and it tells me it needs to reformat the way the files are. So instead of it doing it back when it should have by itself, it waits still I want to play the game again and takes 2 hours to do it.
It's fine if the game isnt installed and it downloads. But this is for all the games I already have installed before this format change.
Jokes on you. I don't get upset when something bad happens to me. I usually go with the thought process that I probably deserved it at some point, shrug it off and continue about my day.
What happened to this guy?

AAHHHH HAAAAAAAAA!!!! BUURRNNNN
See how that worked out? I probably deserved this.
In here after pre-loading will be the cache files for all games using the new format listed by AppID but also in this case a 4.5 GB archive containing the pre-loaded data, once unlocked this will be validated and then unpacked which takes a few minutes, that's what you are seeing.
This further prevents unlocking or decrypting the files early but from all I've tested that's already close to impossible now.
