Fair enough. I would definitely play it either way, but no PC logo anywhere to be seen, and as I said previously, I doubt it will be available on the PC.
I for one am not impressed and until they show some proper gameplay I sure as hell will not care about it. I never understood what's so awesome about MGS and I still don't. If it turns out to be interesting when they show some gameplay, then fine, but until then...

Thank you for this completely pointless post which added nothing remotely useful to the conversation.

I just told my opinion about that trailer. It's your post that's pointless, but whatever. I know now not to have an opinion of my own in the future and I'll just be a mindless droid that will follow the herd like everyone else. Yup...

I see what you mean, but the game is more about the story and how it is told to you than varied and rich gameplay.
The special thing about MGS is that it´s extremely well executed, and the special surprises that only Hideo Kojima can put in games.
He´s creative, and it would be great that more developers were like him.
Who can forget when you have to change your gamepad from port 1 to port 2 in MGS 1 (PSX), this kind of ideas are remarkable and very welcome in games.
OMG. This made my month! PC release! When I played MGS4 all I could think about was I wished they could do something for the PC (for today I mean) with the MGS universe.
Thank you Mr. Kojima.

I always felt that MGS had one of the most varied types of gameplay out there because it feels like they encourage you to play on even if you get an Alert stage( because of the way they place the "load game" button in the menu having to actually quit to the title screen before you are actually able to restart a stage ), as opposed to the usual splinter cell quick save before taking down an enemy style approach.
It's also worth mentioning that it takes tens if not hundreds of hours and multiple playthroughs to actually run out of new content, and having multiple paths throughout the stages just adds more and more variety and richness to the gameplay
Going open world with the new game just feels like the best decision possible, i think. Snake Eater had rather small stages, but managed to make due even with the limitations of the PS2. MGS 4 came along and it brought much bigger levels, fewer loading screens, much more complex conflicts between militia and pmcs, but they still guided your approach somewhat. Hopefully now there will be no more guiding in that sense. I want to go around a military base 2-3 times before i find a snake hole to crawl through
I dont believe it will be this gen. It won't. They will surely "delay" it

Say what you want, Hideo Kojima and Konami has earned my respect in every fucking MG game they've released, i have not the slightest doubt that Hideo will make another METAL GEAR, i say metal gear because it has a solid history of being QUALITY, cant wait for this game, i can live without any videos until release.
I just know Hideo will nail it again and keep giving what he always has given. QUALITY and unmatched games.
Big Boss is one character, Solid Snake is the codename, in the 90's the other one is his son David Solid Snake, Snake for both in the games, but in the 1970's Big Boss was operational as Solid Snake (am i wrong on the year?) after Big Boss went offline and the story developed with the years.... and then his son was introduced (Brown hair) using the same codename, Solid Snake....
The Snake from Metal Gear Solid 1 Ps1, his story is pretty much all covered. Since the future and present is already covered completely, they are grabbing Big Boss again in the 70s to further expand his story.
I think this is gonna link to Peace Walker, which i loved btw.
