But the problem with the reinserting text into the quickreply is still there. And yes I checked if there are still two active plugins

yea, detecting when to restore or when not to, is the problem
but i don't think it's an issue if the text is restored after posting
once it's shown, it is removed from local storage, never to be seen again

Uhm but it also pastes private message content into the quick reply area, which could lead to some interesting posts in the future :/

Can't set launch options on the start menu of win8 (desktop chrome and metro chrome are different versions), so how to install this in chrome without that?

How about the edit button, if you press that it will load at the bottom of the page (replacing the current reply form) and have a skip message for completing that aswell

I found a bug I think, on the Firefox version. I write what I want to write in the quick reply box and when I try to submit it doesn't work. It doesn't do anything. I think I've seen this happening before you updated to this last version, but it was very rare. Now it seems to happen quite frequently. It's not a big thing since I can just copy what I wrote, refresh, paste it back and it works. Maybe it's not even the plugin... I don't know... I just wanted to let you know.

Yup, it's only once installed (0.4.0). Firefox's version is 14.0.1.

I sometimes get the same bug. Once in a while. Refreshing helps.

ok, made another one
i'm a slow browser so the forum 'new posts' links tend to time out on me while i look at links of other threads
so why not make the links absolute?
this goes anywhere in humpinator.js
| Code: |
var newposts = $('.row1').find('.topictitle').find('a').has('img[alt="View newest post"]');
$(newposts).each(function(i,o) {
var threadurl=window.location.origin+'/forum/'+$(this).attr('href');
console.log($(this).attr('href'),'->');
(function(that){
$.get(threadurl,function(data, textStatus, jqXHR){
var doc = $('<div/>').append(data.replace("urchinTracker();",""));
//console.log('<-',$(doc).find('.row2').find('a'));
//console.log('<-',$(doc).find('.row2').find('a').find('img').parent());
console.log('<-',$(doc).find('.row2').find('a').find('img[src="templates/NFOrce8/images/icon_minipost_new.gif"]').parent());
var newpostlink=$(doc).find('.row2').find('a').find('img[src="templates/NFOrce8/images/icon_minipost_new.gif"]').parent().first();
if (newpostlink!==undefined && newpostlink.length!==0) {
console.log('new post found: '+$(that).attr('href') +' -> ' +$(newpostlink).attr('href'));
$(that).attr('href',$(newpostlink).attr('href'));
} else {
console.log('no new post found for '+$(that).attr('href'));
}
});
})(this);
});
|
it's hacky and spams the server with requests but i couldn't think of any other way to do it
it currently opens every 'new posts' link, finds the first 'new post' icon and takes the link of that post
for some reason it won't match with [alt="New post"] so i had to match with image filename
it's not foolproof because it's not always the exact same post as what is in the location field, but i cannot access the location parameter through ajax
i tried through iframes but user scripts don't have access to iframe contents (while worked fine in console)
anyway, this implementation seems to work and only replaces the link if it manages to get a 'new post' link
needs proper testing
only tried it in chrome
