I did not try playing yet, just checked out the menu and the framerate is extremely low, like 1-2fps. Did not happens with the previous episodes. I could barely move the mouse to press the menu buttons. I usually play with a gamepad but I don't think it'll change anything. Hope it's a menu problem and it goes faster in-game. Anyone else?

The third episode had to be the most moving. Especially since I have children myself.
Spoiler: | I'm guessing not, but is there a way to save Carley? |
Spoiler: | I know its just a game, but it really hit home when Duck had to be put down. I have a son that is 6, I couldn't imagine doing that if he was bitten by a zombie. |
Spoiler: | Did Kat commit suicide? Or was she bitten by Duck? |

Spoiler: | Unfortunately, no way to save Carley. I really liked her, and then they just killed her off when she expressed some feelings to Lee. Damn it! And Ben.... that little son of a bitch. As for Katjaa, she shot herself, she couldn't live without Duck I guess... All in all, a very very emotional/depressing episode. First time I felt really weird after playing a game, and pondering about the events that happened for a while after I finished the episode. Really brilliant work by Telltale! |

That really sucks. I was planning to replay just to try and do that. Seems stupid to have something set in stone like that in a game that is pretty much only about choices.
It felt kinda forced, you should be able to
Spoiler: | talk Lilly out of it/she should just shoot Ben based on what choices you've made throughout the episodes. The worst part is that you couldn't kill Lilly yourself, so she'll probably show up again later.. |

I liked how it was inevitable. Not a lot of devs these days take such a possible risk of alienating people. If it was possible to stop it, it wouldn't have the same impact.

Spoiler: | i don't think we are gonna see lilly again, the reason you can't kill her its because she appears in the comic |

Spoiler: | Are we all so sure Katja shot herself? We don't see it happen and as far as I know she hated the idea of keeping a gun, even had an argument with Kenny about earlier on. Seems very suspicious to me at the moment, though I can't think of a reason why he would do it at the moment Kenny has already proved to me he's not the great guy he came across as in EP1 |

I honestly don't care that it happened, it's just how it happened.
Spoiler: | She was 100% certain Ben did it, yet she decides to shoot Carley out of nowhere |
It was just kinda cheap, especially when there's no other outcome.
The other stuff was done much better.

By the way, what happens if
Spoiler: | you save Doug? Can you even save Doug? |
I haven't replayed and tried different choices, because I have a feeling it's all illusion of choice.

Sadly it is true that many choices are predetermined (I've replayed many sections but the outcomes were all the same), it kinda ruins the magic. But other than that, the episode was absolutely phenomenal, the most touching so far. It makes the TV show look like a soap opera.

It's good that Telltale remained faithful to the spirit and qualities of the comics as opposed to the creators and writers of the TV series. But they still can't outmatch (and won't) the depression, lack of hope, human degradation and sadness the comics contain. I really can't believe that exactly that form of medium managed to touch me the most and make me feel that much emotionally attached to the main characters and the whole fallout and decay of civilization. Kirkman really did something with the zombie genre.

The problem is that as good as this game is - The graphics just don't lend one to ever really take in the scene as well and paint that image.
About the only time I thought the graphics were 'decent enough' and things weren't too 'cartoony' was the finale of episode 2.
The choices, the writing, and other things in this game are outstanding. But if they invested more time in the graphics I think people would be far more emotionally impacted by this game.

Happens to me sometimes in all episodes. A computer restart is usually the only way to clear it up.

Multiple control methods + higher resolutions alone makes it better.
It's not a shitty port.

I wouldn't personally say the controls doesn't have flaws:
1.you can't run
2.you are forced to use WAD keys to walk, despite being adventure game, make it the "dumbed down" feel....

PC version is superior simply because you can crank up AA/AF and make it look mildly better.
Still doesn't look that great in most places though. It is entirely obvious that they only spend their time on a few key areas making things look good.
I was taken back as to how good the finale in Episode 2 looked. All of a sudden it was like I was playing a different game.
I've also been really upset at some of the obvious scripting bugs at time of release with each episode.
This episode in particular had a few very obvious bugs that weren't caught. For instance, when you are cutting Clementine's hair and her hair randomly switches between being cut and not cut during the scene, or doors being scripted off by a few seconds and closing on characters, bad lip syncing, etc..
It's like no one even bothered to play test the damn thing before releasing it.
