Yes, yes, I'm not doubting you, I just wish I had any idea what makes your machine different.

I have absolutely no idea but I'm definitely not the only one who has the games running fine. Try setting EE/IOP and VU "Clamping Mode" to Extra or Extra+Preserve Sign. I'm not, mine are all set to default, but it's worth a shot.
~edit~
Here's my exact copy of the emulator, along with all my INIs. No BIOS files included for obvious reasons. Just extract somewhere and don't forget to put the "PCSX2" folder into your MyDocs folder if that's where PCSX2 usually keeps settings.

Yours is a different revision. I downloaded mine from the PCSX2 website, and that one is 5350. That could be it.

Nope, like I said earlier; 1.0.0 and it worked. I've since updated to 5390 (the one I posted just) and it STILL works.

And now there's something funny, just tested your copy of the emulator and it doesn't work. It's exactly the same as mine. I'm also using the 301.42 drivers, there's nothing different. Now I'm totally at a loss.

I truly wish I could help you, but I'm totally at a loss. It works absolutely fine here, I have no issues at all and we're both using the same revision with the same files. I'm on Win7-x64 with an OCed i5-25k and a non-OCed GTX570. I also have MSI Afterburner running. That's about it.

Could it be the processor? I have an i7 930 and a GTX 580. I don't use this Afterburner though, but I doubt it has anything to do with this. It's just my luck, I guess, lol

I just posted a thread on the PCSX2 forums, maybe someone can think of something.

Okay, this is fucked up. I just installed CamStudio in order to record a quick movie, showing what settings I use and then playing the game to show the camera working --- and the camera STOPPED working..!! I think I know what's causing it! If I load the emulator in HW mode and play straight away, the camera doesn't focus or take proper gameplay shots ....... BUT!! If I press F9 to switch to Software on-the-fly and then press F9 to switch back to Hardware it works! ^_^
It's very, very temperamental though, now the ghost fights don't seem to have any images - even in SW mode. If I load PCSX2 without CamStudio recording, it works as-is, but if I load with CamStudio recording then I have to use the F9 switch trick. This is damned weird. Anyhow, I'm still working on getting a single recording done so you see it in action, but for now; when you get the first chance to use the camera, press F9 to switch to SW and then again to switch back. Cam should work fine after that.
~edit~
Okay, I made a vid and I'm uploading it to YT now but from what I've seen; Camstudio really seems to wreck this game -- when I'm NOT recording it works perfectly, as I showed you in my earlier screen shots, but when I AM recording it goes to hell and half the time it works.. half the time it doesn't. I have to constantly keep switching from HW to SW and back again to "refresh" and continue on, something I don't have to when running without recording. So anyway, if you're having trouble; try the F9 trick. See if that helps.

Ouch! The only info I can quickly dredge up is from the Wiki and it claims that if you set the "Game Fixes" preset to 2 (Safer) then it's 100% playable .. but it doesn't mention whether this is SW or HW. Rama, one of the main PCSX2 developers, said it was impossible to fix the flashlight on HW mode, only SW, but this was back in 2010.. so egh.. things might have changed.

Yeah that's what I did, set the preset to 2, but HW mod is still bugged, SW however, works just fine, although very low FPS with flashlight on. With flashlight off and SW mod turned on, the game runs perfect. Gah, gotta hate PS2 games that have some tricky bugs like this Like Onimusha Dawn of Dreams that has that garbage graphics in menus, and no fix so far.
Edit: Someone commented this on YT: turn off your flashlight all times....and adjust the brightness on your monitor to high.or use skipdraw hack . set to 1. after hack you can turn on the flashlight. but the frame rate will shutter/ lag in certain areas.
Gonna try it out.

I feel your pain, bro, really. I've waited years now for the chance to play my beloved Snowblind titles on PCSX2.. but it looks like it will simply never happen. The visual corruption makes playing the game impossible, both HW and SW mode, and even then you can only load the game if you disable MPEG movies via a hack since the game freezes during playback. Rama and Gabest both reckon it may never be fixed, the Engine/games use some pretty funky opcodes that are both undocumented and terrifically hard to emulate.
Even SONY can't emulate it, if you try and play the originals on a PS3 with half backwards compatibility support (such as the PAL launch models and the 80GB NTSC one, with the software Emotion Engine CPU and the hardware Graphics Synthesiser GPU) you get the same visual corruption -- although the movies do work.

Yeah, it sucks I also wanted to play Syphon Filter games, but last time I tried them, they were working ~40FPS, and just couldn't get them to work 60. Btw, Skip Draw hack, where do I find that xD. I can't locate it.

SkipDraw Hack is located in the GSdx.ini file. It's the only hack not shown in the config menu, for some reason.
UserHacks_SkipDraw=0
Set to 1.

I've only finished 2 games with an emulator namely Person 3 and Persona 4 with PCSX2. Recommend some similar Story focused RPG's please?
1 and 2 are still amazing.
