try p2p with 3dm version of the game, it works, ..
but what's with enemies glowing red, what i have to do, i guess it's about timing, tryed everything, help veterans,..
Why walk, when you can ride.

Red Glow means they're about to attack you, so press the counter button. I don't know what the key is, but it's Y button on 360 controller.

As a side-note, are the in-game graphic options really not working? Editing the xml file is the only way to change'em?

Right click.
By the way, the Unlocked version paired with the Pandora crack results in you not being able to pause the game or having a working HUD interface.

so after installing Sleeping.Dogs.Limited.Edition.CRACKED-P2P and then Sleeping.Dogs.Update.1.4.Cracked.P2P i will be up to date with the same version like original game? Are HD textures included in this rls?

I had for the past days the base steam unlocked version downloaded + the HD pack. Applied the 1.4 patch on top of it. The crack was the last thing I added, of course.
Gromar, the limited edition contains the HD textures.
