Yeah, the attempt was definitely ridiculous  ... but what if they will learn from their mistakes and try again making the scam harder to spot.
Who knows, maybe it's already happened and we just haven't figured it out yet.

Some other details, for video games apparently roughly 25% of all projects reach their funding goal and the average cost is much higher.

I don't bother with media kickstarters anymore as entertainment/media has a great potential to suck. Not worth 'investing' in.
I use kickstarter for all sorts of real *physical* products though.
As an example i've put in a decent sum into -

Oh yeah, I'm sure we ALL are like Duke Nukem, Marcus Fenix, Larry Laffer and COUNTLESS of other examples.

And just before anyone says "well duuuuh, you obviously are a heartless man pig, I bet no woman will ever love you"- my girlfriend (with whom I've been for over 2,5 years) agrees with me and says that feminists are making a lot of trouble for women and are only a subject of jokes and laughter because they're so annoying and stupid.
Like those Ukrainian feminits- yeah, flash your tits, no one will objectify you then!

This is a great example of a legit kickstarter, and why it can benefit people. I can't tell you how long i've been waiting for a company to make dress shirts like that. In a month they'll be coming in the mail.

saw that two days ago. I have mixed feelings about it because i d rather see the gaming cons less sexist and minority-friendly (like PAX seems to be doing greatly), but i wish their project all the best. The more cons the merrier.

Hah, well it was the only thread that turned up when searching for Kickstarter, Kickstart didn't result in anything and trying to search both posts and topics for anything still causes a bug where nothing is found.
EDIT: That and I'm pretty bad with creating new topics so I always choose to use a existing one where available.
