She finally went, and went ahead to the next world, 97 year's old....

Though, I wish I too can go like her, she was quite lucid and here, yesterday, she said:

"Tomorrow, I am going to a party, and you can't come, but don't worry, it's all going to be good, Tor and Odin and me will be "partajing" for all of eternity!".

Dang grandma, wish we could all go out like you.. Very Happy

(happy old woman, lived liked she meant it, dranked and smoked, died from old age with people she loved around her, can't get much better than that imho!)

Sounds like she was a great woman. It's nice to see old people who still enjoy life and then die in peace. I wanna be like that too. My old man didn't have such luck with alzheimer's Sad

My condolences for your losses.

The only granddad I knew died at the age of 92, and he was also very vital until his very end. Smoked, walked around, and lived. He died in his sleep, which is I guess the nicest way to go Smile

You know, a fun thing is, that both on my mothers side, and my father side, every single
one of the elderly folks have been smokers, alcoholics, and hard workers.

And still, nobody has died before 90 years of age.

Not a single one.

Always makes me think atleast.. maybe good genes.. Smile But, I gather that it's the hard
working thing that enabled them all to get that old, nobody nowadays work with their
bodies like their generation.

My grandpa was a hardcore alcoholic, smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day, drank 1 bottle
of vodka, before breakfast, he hit 92.

He worked as a stonemason through his entire life.

Nobody works like that anymore.

Nicest perhaps, but imo the scariest to think about, as you don't have a clue it's going to happen.

That's why I don't think about it. Plus why is it different than the time before your birth? You don't remember that time, when you didn't exist, so I won't remember the time after I cease to exist Wink

With any luck we'll have the cure for the disease of old age by the time we're old geezers. Razz

We can only hope Razz

But with the current way of things i'm sure it would conveniently be some drug we need to pay top dollars for in order to keep living or the procedure would be expensive as fuck. Anyway, overpopulation would prevent this for the masses anyway.
