I don't know if it's OLED or not, but drivers? It seems to me like they wouldn't be too tough...

I thought those buttons were just icons that u can choose and assign the shortcut to the keys. It wouldnt really be hard to do that but to get the images all up and presentable like that would be hard, also cleaning the thing would be a cunt, image if you spilt a drink

Quote: | It will cost less than a good mobile phone.
It will be OS-independent (at least it’s going to be able to work in some default state with any OS).
Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence
It will most likely use the OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow).
Keys could be animated when needed.
It will be available worldwide (why not?)

I can't wait
though I think it will be a long time.

Slashdot for the win. Anyway, I want to get that, and hack it so it displays videos on the keys. I'd just play a different video on each key for the sake of it, heh.

Well they have to be of good quality if you are going to keep poking on them quickly many times a day.

Paying $400 for a keyboard that does the same as a quicklaunch bar is just crazy anyway

Who said $400? I was thinking about half that, guess I haven't taken a gander at the cellphone market lately.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Give it a couple years and it'll cost no more than a regular keyboard. OLED displays are going to drop dramatically in price.
