Imo Survivor is a great show, i saw season 18 or something and it was really good, was glued to the couch
Compared to the Swedish ripoff "Robinson" this show is gold.

Get your facts straight.
"Robinson" borrowed the concept from Charlie Parsons who tried to make it work in England but had the idea rejected by BBC. So the first show ever, in the world broadcast on the theme of survivor was Sweden's "Expedition Robinson" in 1997, three years before the first episode of "Survivor". So yeah, Survivor is a rip-off of the swedish show not the other way around. Since Sweden did it it's been done by 40 countries world-wide.
As for which is better, the U.S-version always has been more about the social aspect and less about actually surviving. Hell in every third episode there's some luxury food being served up as a prize, and it seems everyone's always a winner. In the swedish "Robinson" (at least with Paolo) it's actually been more about surviving and having a hell of a hard time on the island. That's how it is supposed to be.
The production is also hell of a lot better, and way less cheezy. Better music, a lot better cutting and titles. And you don't have the exact same lines (Come on in guys, Let's get to today's immunity challenge, first things first, etc.) by robot Jeff Probst in every SINGLE event EVERY year for 12 years in a row. Drives me mad! Both are fun to watch for the characters in them though (no one beats Rupert imo, he's a fucking class act).

its funny how they don't show how these people suffer at night and all make it look comfy n shit. but the reality bullshit kinda killing it for me, they should be more problem solving tasks, like which tribes can gather the most food or fish or shit like that.

I watched up till whatever season Russell first appeared then stopped as they kept bringing him back the following seasons it seemed but enough people must still watch it for them to still be doing 2 seasons a year. It's the sort of show once you stop watching, you probably will never come back to it.
