so I went back to 11.2

It was crashing, had rendering problems (hickups adn artifacts) and there were 2 retarded processes running from inside SySWoW64. Using Firefox 14.

Now back to 11.2. Anyone have an idea wtf that was ?

I had a issue where any Flash website would freeze the browser (Firefox 14 updated yesterday.) so I uninstalled and reinstalled but eventually found that one of the .dll files which acts as the plugin Firefox uses hadn't uninstalled properly and was interfering, tried to delete the file manually and it told me which program was currently using it (Steam) so I shut that down, reinstalled uninstalled and reinstalled again and it worked OK again. Smile
(C:\Windows\System32\Macromed and the NPSWF32_11_3_300_257.dll or similar, I had NPSWF32_11_3_300_250.dll from that previous version interfering.)

EDIT:

http://aihdownload.adobe.com/bin/install_flashplayer11x64_mssd_aih.exe
(Active X and Plugin versions at 64-bit but also has 32-bit runtimes, Adobe's homepage links to the x32 version only which is the above files but with x32 in the file name instead of x64 as above.)

I had a similar problem with the latest flash.. Green bar below in every video filled with artifacts. Disabling hardware acceleration helped me solve it.

Installed it again with newest Firefox and some glitches are still there, also my motherfucking media keys don't work when the flash object has focus.

Reverted back to 11.2. Are those fuckers serious ?

Wow! The latest versions of Flash Player (11.3) are getting more and more ridiculous. First few were crashing Firefox and/or producing artifacts, but they have eventually fixed that; except for introducing a new bug (maybe it's a feature) - I had 5.1 sound in every possible flash source. xHamster, YouTube, SoundCloud or whatever. Everything was being upmixed to 5.1.

I got mad, uninstalled this shit, downgraded to 10.3 and everything works like a charm.

Seriously Adobe, every user should be given the following choice during the update process:
  • I want to install new version, which gives me access to several new features I completely don't need, and make my Firefox browser crash every so often.

  • I don't give a fuck about updating. I just want this shit to work properly.

It would certainly be more appropriate. Wink
