Been a member here since forever. Would be interesting to know how it all started, the people behind the site etc.

This has sort of given the site a special atmosphere and a tight knitted core of regular posters who have a lot of internal jokes about the community and the people who were part of it and the games thats been played over time.
There has been a lot of drama over the years and a lot of hate, but somehow people tend to come back and they usually forgive and forget whatever imagined wrongs had been done them or by them.
In the end most of the community here just care about what new games comes out, or rage about them cause they're not as good as the old ones. Or they want to talk politics.
So in that sense the people here are no different than your average crowd down the pub, though more often than not they're probably more technically inclined.

It was started as an FXP hub for sharing games back in 2004 and turned into a gayfest with midget and gay porn in 2012 (i.e. VIP area).

isonews was a lot bigger than nforce in its best times. i was one of the first 10 to register here, yay... And it was in 2003, not 2004.

yeah i was also on isonews first but soon couldnt stand the bs over there anymore lol. And moron mods like fro or penguin etc sure didnt make matter better ^^.
Nfohump is on a declining pattern aswell, but still miles ahead of isonews back then.

Dunno about now, but back then I always found vbulletin easier to use for both users and staff, the PHPbb way of doing things (especially staff side) was a fucking mess.
I expect its gotten a lot easier over time, I looked at PHPbb 3 a while back and the admin side seemed easier, but it still was lacking.
Still a change now in all honesty would be wrong, I cant imagine nforce looking any other way, and if it changed I think I would be a little lost
