Anyone who has an opinion please answer.
Do you think its ok to self medicate?
- with illegal street drugs?
- with illegal medicinal drugs?
What I mean by illegal medicinal drugs is say u go to the dr and u need say vicodin for pain but u cant afford it - and ur provincal/state/private coverage doesnt cover the medication - is it wrong to acquire the drugs u need in an illegal way and take them? Or because u dont have the money, should u go without?
I personally think self medication, depending on the drug/medicine is ok - for those who dont have addictive personallity.
And on the illegal medicinal note, I think thats cool.
The reason I ask is i just found out one of my boys got booked for that - needing perk's, as the dr said for an injury and OHIP (ontario health coverage) supposedly doesn't cover it - so he was gettin em off the street and got booked with like a month's supply.

I have nothing against screwing a major corporation out of a few hundred dollars, as long as you can be sure of the source of your stuff.
As for illegal "street" drugs, they should all be legalized. It would allow tobacco companies to expand and enslave another type of weak-willed people, it would help seduce more of them into it, it would most certainly ease and accellerate their demise, and it would thin out the ranks of human stupidity... something we desperately need as a race.
Those who do drugs (tobacco through heroin) for whatever reason, I have nothing against you... I don't consider you personally stupid, as I don't know you personally. I consider the general trend of people submitting to these drugs degenerative, but I don't believe banning them is the solution. Let those who will have their drugs, and have as much of them as they can afford. Those who use them irresponsibly will die by age 30 and I'll grow old in a better world. Those who use them responsibly will live less, but I've no reason to stop them if that is their intent.
If increased violent crime is your concern, I believe it's bearable. If 40 drug addicts die for every innocent victim, that would be a justified death. Plus, with the extra political and tax revenue from drugs, we could hire even more of America's Finest to bash the heads of the unruly for us.
In short, yes to legalizing both, and yes to continuing illegal traffic of both.

I agree with the quality thing...if ur source is trusted for medicinal
but legalizing street drugs? man, i really don't think u've been around a real crackhead or smack head...Weed (hash) i consider tobacco and mushrooms are sacred for me (religiously) but the E (X/extacy - whatever term u wanna use), G, lsd, yayo, tar, k, crack, meth etc should not be legalized cuz they fuck u up..with the exception of PURE extacy which is really mdma and was used as an anti-depressent until the 50's.
What mdma does is triggers the release of serotonin in ur brain which provides happiness and love like feelings. But, the only draw back is when u take it on a regular basis, ur brain is fooled into thinking it needs MDMA to release serotonin when ur not on mdma which = chemical imbalance = depression = suicide and other fucked up things
Although some dr's in underdeveloped countries still use this to treat physcological disorders, just not like take 2 a day, more like atmost 2 a week - which only elevates the serotonin and doesnt affect ur head
And I'd also say LSD, as ive heard from many ppl both user's, dr's and scientists (off of tv) that the guy who created lsd made it in its pure form, which is completely safe but WAY to potent - supposedly he went into a hole for 3 days off of 3 hits of liquid lsd (one tab) - but I can't confirm this as I have most likely never done it so I can't say to much, but look on the net and draw ur own conclusions - but acid is never cool to do
But really, street chemicals like ones I listed, shouldnt ever be legalized...everyone would be cracked out. And just so were clear, I do not condone the consumption of street chemicals, they really do ruin lives.
But I am Pro-Ganja (like 90% of Canada).
It should be simple...U can grow (up to a certain amount of plants) and smoke weed but not deal it and make money off of it, that breeds corruption...thats the approach the canadian supreme court took on warez and online downloading - as long as I do not profit from an ripped software, game, movie etc I can give a copy to my friends, family etc
Its the same as taping a buddy's cd he just bought - nothing illegal there as far as I know

Well i dont really approve of drugs but if you know that u need a drug to live and the gov wont provide it then i suppose its ok to get them "illegally". You will only be stealing what is rightfully yours neway.

I generally always go to the pharmacy and say what i need. They give it to me and i pay for it.
Never try to save some money on medecine.

yea but i was under the impression that he couldnt afford the medicine. If he was doing it to substitute other things then no but if it was harming your health without it then Id say get it as long as ur willing to take the risk.

Well afaik there are different medecines which do basically the same thing. Some are cheaper and some are more expensive.
Here if you get prescribed something its from the cheap range, since our medical treatment is free and paid for goverment, and we have loads of pensioners who live on pensions and cant afford expensive medecine. Although if you want something more expensive, and perhaps more effective, you can ask the doctor and he/she will give you a list of medecines which will work.
Then you pick one which fits your budget
