Seeing how there's no recent post about them, let me share a little story:
There's this really nice chick that I had been keeping contact with. She was studying in a Uni in Holland, living there with her BF. But 4 years ago she was here and she called me to fix her PC, but when I got there the PC was working fine. She made dinner, we drank wine and watched some movies, then we slept together in one bed. No sex, just sleeping. She said that she can't engage, because of her BF.
So this spring she came back for good, graduated from her uni and broke with her BF. I met with her a couple of times, but kept it casual. Then one night she calls me and wants to come over, but it was "casual". So she comes over, and we had a fucking great time. We kept contact and next week she came again, and we had it going again fucking good. I mean she's really hot in bed, waking up with sex, open for butt.. 
It was all good. I felt great. She was the sister of a good friend's GF, so I was very glad things were going between us.
Then the next week she said that she didn't want to come home. I was mm ok, maybe she doesn't feel ok or something, maybe period. But as time went on, she always refused to come over to my place, but at the same time kept somewhat intimate with me.
So finally I confronted her, wtf was going on? And she said that our relationship has gone past sex. Something like I was too good friend for her, to have sex with me, while not being in a serious relationship...
I mean WTF is this shit!?
Up till now, they either sleep with me, or don't sleep with me..?!

So basically, you slept together and now she has changed her mind and just wants to be friends? At least you got to tap it, we have all had a female "friend" that really we wanted to bang but never did, at least you did it the good way round.
Although often once a trick a girl into sleeping with you, they become easier to get into a relationship with.

One thing I learned over the years. Cut the crap, cut the stories, be direct, stop wasting time. It ain't that hard for a girl. Either she wants you or she doesn't. She doesn't need to think or doubt. If she refuses once or twice, she will refuse a zillion time.
Just say her what you want, let her answer and then move on. She won't change all of a sudden, no matter what you try...
You probably were just a good rebound dick. It hardly ever works out if you know each other for years already. Heck, if it was really meant, would have happened earlier, no?
