I'm half way with first book with Game of Thrones..I didn't touch it in about a week and now wanted to finish reading it...

water damage? but it was in my backpack all the time...

Not sure if that has anything to do with my kindle having lines on the screen but whatever Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

I just called amazon and it will cost $65 to replace it, since it is out of warranty Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Ouch, $65 is a bit of cash.. but thankfully it's less than half what it would have cost to completely replace it. What about the content on the Kindle? Have you got it all stored on Amazon's servers?

I transfer books from my PC as I need them. I usually only carry 1-3 books, after I am done with them, replace them with new ones.

I do not have $65 to spare right now ><...Actively looking for a job with no luck!

And I can assure you that you will be doing lots of other stuff than reading ebooks on it Wink

Im generally talking about tablets, got a galaxy tab myself but im no fan boy. could just as well have bought a iPad.

Shit man why don't you have a warranty? I've replaced the damn thing 8 times already Very Happy All for free, overnight. It's worth it to have one.

I bought that kindle over 2yrs ago, did not purchased extended warranty.
