And? It really is. So many clueless derps out there who rather blame it on blizzard than on themselves.
Lotsa people get constantly hacked in WoW, most of the people complaining about it in d3 are probably new to the online scene and have no clue what proper security measures they need to take.
All the articles "pretending there was a breach" are trollbait. Rofl, blizzard "taking a beating". Talk about delusional.

Going through this game really slowly... Like really slowly it seems, just finishing Act2 lol. yeah i know wtf am i doing etc... I enjoy just playing an hour here or an hour there and doing the crafting exploring all the maps etc.
Anyway first act I really enjoyed... Second act so far blows cock. Not going to add spoilers for people whom haven't played yet but have not been left impressed.
Monk so far has literally zero problems taking on anything on normal. Haven't died or got even close to dying once so far. Played in a few group sessions online and they all get roflstomped at times...
I dont know there just seem to be really ThAT much going for this game... loot? meh... haven't been lucky enough to find something really unique which you cant find 5000x on the AH. looking forward to the pvp part of the game. We have any idea when thats going to get released?
On my next roll of the game I'll be trying to hook up with some NFO humpers if any of you are still playing by then. Could be fun.

"We will be performing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, May 22nd. Maintenance will begin at 1:00 AM PDT and conclude at approximately 9:00 AM PDT. During this time, all realms and many web services will be unavailable.
Thank you for your patience."
Another 8 hrs offline, Im beginning to think every other company uses magic to keep servers running on a 24/7 basis

apperently you can hijack the session ID if you play a public game.. so how is this the users fault?

I think it's for US only (the maintenance). The EU servers work fine here, and according to this they should already be down for a least an hour.

if they get/exploit sesion id, how they can change password on the account ?
many said (even the eurogamer redactor i think) that they were unable to log back in, because password was changed.

Well, they finally rolled back my char(lvl 9 -.-) and I got that craphone authenticator, so I hope I won't have any problems. Other than lag and the occassional disconnect.
So my questions is this, any way to force the game to create a checkpoint every time I teleport back into town? Had to clear the same area 3 times because of two disconnects.

Don't try to use logic with trolls/haters. It's pointless.

mea culpa lord blizzard mea culpa
Of course! For example the fact I have been busy for the last 6 hours doing volunteer maintenence work on the towns network for senior citizens, telling myself all the while just one more task then you can get back to hack n slash, is my fault.
It follows therefore now that I have finished plugging the holes in the seniors' open source firesieve and want to get back to hacking n slashing but the amerikan servers are down yet again, is entirely my fault. Just as it is my fault that a prog which was physically distrubuted & retailed at a location many thousands of miles away, in another hemisphere from amerika defaulted to the amerikan servers when I connected it.
So it must also be my fault that this default error means I cannot resume my single player game until tommorow morning (local time), at which time I have many real world committments.
It is all my fault now that everything has become the fault of consumers since corporations became the new gods. Just like the old gods, corporations are omnipotent, ubiquitous and unrelenting in their approach to individuals (esp those who aren't major shareholders). The fact that they have fervent believers ready to attack anyone who questions them as an heretic or even worse 'uncool' lol, says it all really.
For goodness sake! They let us give them money, what more do we want?

@Interinactive:
You're wasting your time mate, the ones that agree with you already think the way you do and you'll never get a BlizzTard troll to see your point of view. Not ever. So in the absolute strictest definition, you're pretty much preaching to the choir. We're already with you.

No, when you disconnect, you're pretty much screwed. Not only do you have to clear the whole area again, they also roll you back a while, making you lose some of the items you recently picked up too. I lost a lot of items when I disconnected twice (lost everything I looted the 15 minutes before the DC).
Wish they would give you a few minutes to reconnect, before wiping the map and the items.

no, since the game generates the areas anew with every login session, you have to atleast reach a new waypoint or finish a quest. the game itself saves all your progress constantly, you wont lose exp, gold or equipment after a disconnect, just the explored area.(notice how after a new login the map doesnt show the previously explored area anymore, since it is being randomly generated)
