Hey guys,
I finally ordered my new CPU. I was waiting for Ivy bridge but as that didn't turn out to be such a big improvement I went with sandy bridge instead.
Now I have a 2600K, ASUS Sabertooth P67 and 16GB of G.SKILL CL9 2133Mhz memory.
I don't plan on overclocking it much, pretty much anything I can get without too much hassle or possible stability issues. I have a half decent fan Zalman CNPS10X Quiet, so I think it should be able to handle a slight overclock.
So my question is. How do you go about overclocking these chips? Just increase the multiplier? What about turbo and similar stuff? Any other information you can share. I'd appreciate a short tutorial.
I'm not too concerned about memory speed, but if possible I'd like to get that higher than 1333Mhz too.

Thanks dude. A couple of questions:
Is there a separate multiplier for turbo or should I just disable turbo completely?
Also, will increased memory speed have impact on stability with OCed CPU?

Just got my stuff today.
I5 3570K
Corsair H100
Asus Sabertooth Z77
8gb Corsair vengance 1866mhz
Without having much of a clue i'm straight away @ 4.3ghz and 1866 ram with only a couple clicks.
(Gotta get a proper 24/7 oc done later after all the installs etc i'm doing right now.
But it is way less complex than overclocking the old 920 and cooler too.
Just ran prime for 10 mins and never hit above 58degrees on any core.

I need to get into overclocking again soon. I haven't pushed my CPU to the limit yet. I want it to be on the verge of burning!

Seems to be running stable 4.5Ghz at 1.3v. Yay

You SB bastards have it easy. I need to pump my cpu with at least 1.48v during load to reach 4.5Ghz
