I usually can't stand cider, most of the so-called cider on the market is so chemical I doubt the makers have ever even seen, let alone tasted, an apple. I love Carlsberg though, so I'm willing to give it a try. There is ONE brand of cider I love especially and it's one my missus got me into over here; Halmstad Cider - specifically the pomegranate one. It's beyond delicious and incredibly refreshing.
Too bad it's bloody expensive over here, 37kr a can (£4)

The only beers I really enjoy are Carlsberg, Heineken and a local Norwegian beer called Frydenlund -- which is outstanding and probably my favourite beer so far.

The normal beer leaves a really bad aftertaste for me, and I can't sleep because I can still feel the beer inside my mouth somehow. And I keep on burping
Vodka has none of it, no taste, no "full stomach", and you can drink it slowly and it won't change its taste, unlike beer which gets warm and horrible in time. |
Haha, we have a particular kind of strong grape vodka called "Grappa" which is fantastic , though I really like the grain-based ones as well .
Beer has probably the #1 spot in my heart (even if I don't drink as much as before); I like all kinds of regular beers, with basically no exceptions , but I must admit that the best beer that I've ever tasted was in Munich some years ago - > http://www.hofbraeuhaus.de/en/index_en.html ...damn that was like drug xD

Now come on! Carlsberg brews what is served in everyones local cantina at work - bland shit. Carlsberg has a few specialty beers thats good, but those normal pilsners are horrible. There are 20 better breweries here in Denmark, Carlsberg is just the biggest.
Somersby is a crappy cider, everyone under 18 and ladies in Denmark drinks it at parties - just over the bridge in Sweden, you will find 100 of ciders tasting better. Really just try and pick up just about any swedish cider and taste the difference. Or english or french well any cider...
Fun fact - I live 5 minutes away from the first Carlsberg brewery and I share last name with the maker.
There are two kinds of people I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

Single Malt aged Scotch Whiskey (some Irish variants are also okay but if you come anywhere near me with crap like Tullamore Dew I'll shove it up your butthole)
English ales are really nice.. Also like some bitters.
Czech beers are lovely.. Starobrno and whatever they're called.

Well the average selection in a store counts amoung the best beers available in the world, so even if you got no taste, you still drink good shit so yeah, being belgian kinda does the trick.
But keep drinking cider and telling yourself that this is the real deal!
To each his taste, but don't call that crap beer, it ruines beer reputation, and that is the only thing that our country's good at
