Where can I find more vines on Isle of Thieves? I've been all around the village but only have 4/5.

Need some Slayne spoilage :

Fish from the fishermen on the EASTERN beach. Water from the water carriers, just slightly North-East of the City.

| Spoiler: | For the water, take the path out of town and you'll eventually come upon some water carriers.
For the fish, go to the cave on your map that looks like a skull, you rescue a guy in there. After the quest head south to his hut and tell his friend you rescued him. |

Is there any way to stop that horrible DoF effect from resetting itself?

It resets to "On" after each cinematic I think.

When I turn on MSAA inside the config XML file, I get a black screen when the game is loaded. Only thing visible is the NPC nameplates. What's up with that?

No , DLC's are not standalone. You can start them once you become a capitan.

Naw, they're not standalone - they're incorporated into the main game and, due to the loot, I recommend starting them whenever you get the chance. They'll send you all over the world anyhow, so it's not like you're doing something you're not already going to do anyhow.

Dunno why this game is being given such a bad rap from the fans, i´m still in the first pirate island and so far i´m finding it much more fun to play than Risen 1. Since Gothic 2 that i haven´t had this much fun with the franchise.

Most of that negative image dissipated after a while, when people started actually getting into the game. A lot of it stemmed from various bugs, performance issues, visual glitches and streamlined combat, but once people really started getting into the game - negative opinion mostly became positive. The atmosphere is incredible and the attention to detail is great =)
22hrs so far, still loving it.

How the heck do you earn money or make money when you get to the 1st island. I have talked to Largo and Pedro so I know I need to do some things but I have like 900 gold. Where's the cash? LOL

I am about to finish the second island. This game is (imo) already better than Skyrim, ME3 etc. even if it goes to total shit from here on.
Cant believe the game is getting such shitty review scores, feel sorry for the devs.
Hopefully the game will sell well in Eastern Europe and Germany. They really deserve it, this game is a beauty, fairly polished and the attention to detail from the menus to the environment is staggering compared to their previous games.
8/10 already from me, and if the game holds it up until the end it will be a 9/10 easily and will be one of my favourite RPGs of all time alongside the gothics and risen 1.
Immersion is what's it all about for me, this game delivers 120% in that department.

I am a bit stuck I hope someone can help. Obviously I have searched Google but not found anything useful.
| Spoiler: | I am on the Sword Coast part. I have Jim's hair and have learnt voodoo. However I cannot progress beacuse...
1.When I go to the voodoo altar it says 'you need the create doll skill' well I can't find this listed anywhere on the trainers options.
2.I had Slicks' gold nuggets but offered him only three, now when I talk to him he just repaeats the bit about the bannana and gorilla.
3.I have talked to absolutely everyone in the village but just cannot get past this bit.

What Am I missing/doing wrong? I did read up on someone having a similar problem and he had to load an old save, I really don't want to do that.

I dont know about voodoo stuff, but slick want 5-7 nuggets, if you collect them he will talk to you again.

Thanks, my problem was that I had sold his stupid had, so I had to run around the world for half an hour looking for the right merchant to get it back. >.>
