Mister_s, , it's not random Razz

There are combinations as someone said.
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 ? NO.

6 7 8 5 4 9 0 3 2 1 YES.

See the difference Smile? Any other means you have to start from the beginning.

So if you try

6 7 8 9... you have to start again.

It's BETTER than the Gothic 1, 2 and Risen system.

I LOVE the chest unlocking minigame, even if there is no penalty for failure, because at least it's eleventy gazillion times more interactive than any previous PB picklocking attempts.

Hell yeah it is!

So did anyone invest in the usual forging skills yet? Worth the trouble?

You need the sword forging to combine the legendary weapon pieces you get, which are great. Not sure about the pistol one.
The permanent potions you can do with alchemy seem to be bugged though, or at least the Fool's something that gives Cunning talents is. You can craft it but it never appears in your inventory.

You only need 1 talent, Forging, and that's all.
It's worth it, you'll want Toughness at least at 6 anyway.
Forging weapons on the other hand is NOT worth it. Raw materials are hard to come by and the weapon is cheaper than the sum of all it's parts.

BUT

You can reforge legendary weapons, the best in the game. If you find them all that is.
(I did Smile )
60-100, +20 to slashing, look cool? Oh yeah.

Only that one is bugged thankfully. It has no inventory icon ( you can see that in the alchemy menu ). There are no recipies for two other though.

Did you notice the friend he had made for himself out of some rocks next to his lair? I felt sorry for the poor lonely thing. Sad

I don't know why but that pic looks really funny. "Here I am in Africa, just took out a dinosaur in my pirate outfit". Would've been brilliant HUDless, postcard material.

I love Voodoo Curse doll. Used in on a Guardian and laughed at his pathetic attempts to injure me. Then I forced a ghoul to attack him ( with a sceptre ) and summoned One Special Ghost to finish them. Didn't even have to use my sword.

9 out of 10 chests I open just moving the mouse back and forth without even looking.

I hate these retarded minigames. Just do a skill check and be done with it.

You're not very far in the game then, because I guarantee you won't be doing that with chests/doors that have 6+ tumblers.

That creature is probably one of the more annoying fights, it's kinda like a particularly metal hungry monster from D&D combined with a frog. Razz

Made it to treasure isle, beautiful location but I'll probably die by walking into various traps, also saw rain again some short moments ago and not just these thunderstorms that are so frequent. Very Happy

Maracai is mostly cleaned out now, some few quests left there, should be near the end minus that brown island in the middle and slightly off center and of course that last location in the game, overall I've enjoyed the game a lot but a patch wouldn't hurt.

EDIT: Oh and Nameless killed most of the dinosaurs back in Gothic 2 with a few remaining ones dying on the mainland in Gothic 3 ha ha.
(That "monster" creature in Gothic 3 is pretty weird, not as rushed as those semi-dragons though.)

The Nameless was always a Big Game Hunter. you know, those trophies were sold on quite a bit of money in the Gothic series.

Though it also felt very satisfying when you got one of those shadowbeast or trolls (or a black troll) after having been killed time and time again by them before you got proper equipment and training.

Took down a leviathan creature a few hours ago which gave a similar feeling though many of the monsters in this game can be pretty deadly, even at lower difficulty levels.
(They're also grouped together a bit more.)

EDIT: Also if you kill a creature as it emerges they die while doing their idle animation which sticks until you move far away enough for the game to clean up the body.

Heh, merchants seem to restock between "acts" I just found out, got a really powerful shotgun (with a flame stripe pattern of all things.) and some neat swords plus a variety of jewelry and other helpful items, wonder if there's finally going to be a better outfit somewhere? Razz

Love the game. Risen 1 is one of my favourite RPGs, so I am really happy how Risen 2 turned out. More of the same, but a little bit better Wink

Anyway. I have a few questions.
I have the monkey skill. When I got it I did get a monkey, but unfortunately he died when he was trying to steal an apple. So I'm wondering, can I get a new one somehow? I have seen monkeys wandering around, but I have no idea on how to tame them.

I also got the parrot skill. But I didn't get a parrot. Do I need to find parrots and tame them, or buy them from someone?

Last question. Is it possible to finish off downed people like you could in Risen 1. Or has that been cut?
