Yup! the CP guys fixed the SHIT out of Gothic 3, turned it from a failed piece of crap into a damned good game (I feel people, in their rush to defend anything and everything PB, forget how much they hated and despised Gothic 3 when it came out)

Also to reinforce that this game needed some more Q&A going on:
Did anyone else change their audio levels ?
I had to up dialogue sound over de rest (downing music to 50% for example).
Savegames are stored in the %userprofile%\saved games\ directory.

How was patching with Risen 1? I finished it at vanilla state, so I didn't get any patches. Did they patch is fast?

No, not really. But they've shelled two or three patches. It also has an unofficial patch.

You mean the "patch" around 1,5Gb that not just fixes bugs,but changes gameplay and visuals completely, basically turning Goth-- I mean Risen ofc -- into new game? Yeah, it is definitely on the way, haha.
I feel like PB is the second Bethesda now, and community finishes the game after the developer so it can be playable.

God, the save game managment is terrible. None of the saves override themselfves which means having to manually delete them or the save game folder will be huge in a matter of hours. So stupid.

Honestly, I don't think it can be fixed at the moment. The best we can hope for is less sparse detail and less flickering textures/shadows/vegetation. It's like an over-exaggerated implementation of what JoWood did in Arcania, where the vegetation is lush and prevalent... until you get close where it shrinks and eventually vanishes into thin air >_<
